How to unlock the Patron of the Past achievement in OUTRIDERS - Definitive Guide
This is a series of quests you get after speaking to Madame Beauvoir early in the game. She wants you to find items from Old Earth to add to her collection and there are 10 of these side areas in the game. This will take until the end of the game to complete as there are Historian quest areas all the way through the last zone. Just look for the quest marker on your mini map as you explore each zone. Difficulty varies depending on World Tier so if you are having trouble just lower the difficulty or return later.
If you talk with Jakub to take the truck to a new location you will be able to see the Historian book icon on zones that still have an available Historian quest which is helpful if you are trying to find one you missed. Note that these are not complete until you return and give the item to Madame Beauvoir.

Has anyone had any issues with certain quests in this quest line not being available? I’m missing the one at The Gate but when I get there I can’t interact with the log to get into that area due to it saying “No available quests in this area” thinking of just giving it a go on another character but it’s pretty annoying that this game has this many bugs and issues

See Squaretasking (70G) for more info.
This is required for Squaretasking .
The Historian questline starts in Rift Town. You'll need to speak with Madame Beauvoir, a vendor of old Earth world goods that no one really wants to buy anymore. After you speak with her the first time, she'll ask you to keep an eye out for any old Earth objects that she can put on her shelves. There are 10 items total, the last of which is found in the last area you open up, The Caravel so you won't be able to actually get this trophy until you're pretty close to finishing the campaign. You'll be able to see if an area has a "Historical Artficat" for you to pick up when you're on the world map. Just scroll over each area and if "Historian" is listed under the available quests (and not grayed-out), it means there's something for you to pick up. There will also be a yellow "!" on the location and, depending on what patch you're playing on, the yellow Historian icon.
When you're in an area, the Historian icon will mark where you need to go. Once you enter the area the object is, the side quest will automatically start. The objects and locations of everything you need to find are as follows:
Holographic Disk (Everlasting) - Rift Town
Apollo 11 Scale Model (Inspiration) - The First City
S.M. Flores Limited Edition Wrist Watch (Timeless ) - Eagle Peaks
Amazing Stories No. 1 (Vision) - Deadrock Pass
Box of Soil (Roots) - Quarry
Family Photograph (Memories) - The Gate
Soda Can (Survival) - Dunes
Cell Phone (Connection) - Canyon of the Grand Obelisk
Lipstick (Change) - Pax City
Action Figure (Evolution) - The Caravel
Each of these will also count as a journal entry towards One for the Books .

There are a total of 10 tasks in the chain, each of which is done in its own location on the global map. They have a book badge and are surrendered in the starting city.
As with the “Wanted” and “Hunter” quest chains, you are guaranteed to receive a legendary item at the end.
Accordingly, if you want to get the most out of such a reward: do the last task already at the maximum level of 30 and having a world level of 15, then you will receive a reward of the maximum available level and you will not have to spend a lot of titanite to increase the level of the legendary.
