Note: You start the game with a small amount of recipes already, and these do not count towards your group of 50.

In order to get this achievement, you need to find or purchase recipes throughout the game. All types of recipes count (crafting, cooking, or alchemy) so you just need to find 50 new ones in total. As said above, you already start out with a few, so the achievement won't pop at 50. It will pop at around 60-70 instead.

I would recommend that you not buy recipes until you've thoroughly explored all of Aurai. Recipes get expensive, and coin is better used for equipment or training. You should be able to get most, if not, all of them through exploring.

In addition to this, you do not need to buy a recipe to discover it. You can use the correct items to unlock it without buying from a merchant. This is pretty easy to abuse, as you can just look up recipes on the wiki and create without wasting coin.

Keep an eye out for already known recipes as well. If you're purchasing them from a merchant, you might find duplicate recipes, and you won't be able to sell them back for the same price.

Once you hit around 65 recipes, the achievement will pop.
