How to unlock the Master of Aurai achievement in Outward - Definitive Guide

I´m not sure if this only was a problem on my side but i think sharing this could help someone.

When i finished my 3rd playtrough i was wondering cause the "Master of Aurai" was not unlocking. So i tried to log in with all my characters one after another. Luck was on my side and after the last login the achievo popped and everything was finde.

If you have the same problem as me, i hope my solutions works for you.

Is this achievement difficult or time-consuming, or both?

I would say its not very difficult but good gear is essentinal. Playing with someone in coop helps of cause. i would say 1 run witch each fraction should take abou 10 to 15 hours. The three Questlines are "Blue Chamber" "HEroic Kingdom" and "Holy Mission"

Even still this seems like a common bug but still fixable as long as keep your 1st and 2nd characters and log on them after finishing the 3rd. Other to add which got me Master of Aurai, 2nd character was ancestor of first, 2nd was ancestor of third, all three kept lighthouse, and all did the parallel quest associated with each questline (not sure if matters) and had perfect success with each quest (not sure if matters).

For first playthru I didn't have build, was just learning game and progressively getting better items doing Holy Mission. But Blue Chamber might be better for first time, as Ekemar Forest has very powerful and relatively easy to obtain weapons, like Skycrown Mace, Worldedge Greataxe, and Starchild Claymore, the Wind Temple dungeon that has Thrice Wrought Halberd, and 5 Shell Horrors that can be farmed for Silver or Horror Chitin that can craft 3 Great Health Potions / Horror Gear like the bow. The Alpha Deers have antlers that craft into Great Energy Potions as well. Completing the Blue Chamber questline also confers the Crimson Plate Armor which gives one of the best element buffs, +43% Frost Damage, which combines well with the Skycrown Mace to one a powerful gear build for other two playthroughs, worked good for my 3rd playthrough in the Abrassar Desert anyways.

Legacy Chest I utilized from 1st to 2nd, was mainly to obtain White Kintsugi Armor and Boots. They get the best upgrade in stats transferring to a new-game, and have the highest physical resistance in base game. They also get a fire damage buff which I utilized with Skyfall Axe for a sort of fire mage build. I skipped the helmet in favor of chesting a Wide Black Hat as I always utilized Magic, it has a movement speed buff, and as a Wide White Hat it gains +10% Lightning Damage which was useful for Runic Magic skills I used for 2nd playthru. Otherwise, besides the Kintsugi or the Wide Hats, Bird Mask, few other mage items like White Arcane Robes, vast majority of legacy chest upgrades are mainly for cosmetic purposes and minor resistance upgrades (base game anyways).

Transferring items still works perfect with splitscreen method, but you will need another Xbox Live account as using guest or same account doesn't work. It's best done in Ciezro storage as the ancestor give storage key/backpack to intermediary character, and then to the offspring character and get their 1st legacy item right off the bat. It's also the most-known duping method, as an ancestor's legacy items can be claimed by an infinite amount of new characters just rushing to the Ciezro Legacy Chest and consolidating all their stuff to a specific character. Useful for getting the 11 Tsars for the Tsar Set achievement as well, but saving that for last will cut down that process, as 3 complete playthrus will net you 3, and obtaining the easy Tsar Stone at the Ghost Pass Gravestone would get you another 3.

Sorry for long wall, just got this achievement and wanted to provide what tips I could give after being done with the game. GL

This achievement works just fine, as in without logging in and out of alts, in the new Definitive Edition. Since I completed that version first I didn't think much of keeping the alt character files. Very glad I did though. Phew!

The three quest lines you need to complete are:
Blue Chamber
Heroic Kingdom
Holy Mission

You can only do one of these per playthrough so you will need to make three characters to get this achievement. Do not delete your characters when you complete a quest line. For whatever reason this achievement did not pop up for me when I completed the third quest line until I logged on to the other two characters as well. Definitely keep them until you get this achievement.

When you arrive to Cierzo you will begin the Call to Adventure quest where you will either have to come up with 150 Silver or a Writ of Tribal Favor to keep the lighthouse. Whatever the outcome when you complete this quest you will begin the Looking to the Future quest. During this quest you will get to choose which faction you would like to join and which main quest line you will follow.

For a list of the quests and their complete guides you can check out the Outward wiki.

The easiest way to run through the quests on your second and third character is to bring over all your gear from the previous playthrough. Just start a split screen session with another controller and use that character to transfer your gear/items. This way you can just get to work instead of spending time preparing.

Missable

Since you cannot join multiple Factions, you must use three different characters that join the different Factions to unlock this trophy. These characters do not necessarily need to be Legacy Characters but if you join a Faction you have completed previously, you will need an additional character to complete your remaining Faction with.
