This can be done in solo or co-op as the host or as a co-op partner.

I've literally done this in 10 seconds using cloud play. Choose Arcade > Couch, then just hold Y and select each of them. I hadn't done any before, so hadn't done any of previous set, but worked instantly.

This actually can be done by the non-host in co-op (I did it as non-host). I did every emote at the end of the level, but then also while playing the next level, I held Y, and did the emotes that were available in the level (there are a few that are different there than at the end of the level screen). After doing all of them (end of level, and in the level), it unlocked for me as non-host.

I tried to do it as a non-host at the end of the level and got nothing. Wondering why it wasn't working I then tried to do all 8 from within the next level we played and got 16% progress and that's it.
After we stopped the co-op session for the night I booted in to my own game and loaded the tutorial level and tried all 8 again, still no progress :(
Not sure if it is now glitched for me for some reason or if I'm missing something else.
