How to unlock the Perfect Horde achievement in Overlord II - Definitive Guide

You need to finish the game first, or at least reach the final area and have a horde size of 50 (all command upgrades and the command helmet). The goal is to get them all to 400% which requires the late game golden equipment.

Take 50 browns (easier to see equipment on them) and, if you took the destruction path, head to Empire City and start busting open crates (there are loads around). If you went with Domination it's a little easier as Blacksmiths also make the weapons after you finish an area, you're looking for gold but they appear silver/crystal in Nordberg (due to the snow). Simply move from blacksmith to blacksmith sweeping your minions in, took me around 4 passes of the five larger blacksmithing areas.

As with the last game it's handy to take your minions out of the portal one by one until you see the % drop below 400, put that one back and then guard marker the others (hit Y), thus all the minions you take out will be sub 400 and those already maxed out won't get in the way of them picking things up. It isn't an issue early on as most minions are picking things up, but (for example) when you only have 3 minions left to max out the other 47 can block them rather badly.

If you are on a destruction run you can finish the game and smash the boxes in Empire City. There are loads of boxes there which contains the golden weapons which are needed to get to 400%. When you've smashed all the boxes you can portal out and in agian and smash them again. It took me 4-5 times to get this.

The solution provided is accurate but is a direct copy of http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/overlord-ii/guide/

For this achievement I went to Empire City, the last city in the game, there you will find several crates next to the portal to Netherworld, just press cn_RT then your minions will destroy them all and if you continue to press cn_RT some of them will equip new weapons and armor, at that moment you will notice that the Power Size will increase, for example 204%, you must do this until reaching 400% to unlock the achievement, remember to have 50 minions in your Horde and complete with Brown Minions.

Before you attempt this you need all command upgrades and the Infernal Helmet. Once you've done this you want to go to the last area where golden weapons are. This trophy requires you to get your minions up to 400%, which is much easier said than done. You want so tell sweep them over shiny weapons and armor on the ground until all 50 hit 400%. You want to pull them out one by one until they each it max. Once you have one at max, send them to a flag and tell them to wait. Do this with every one until you get the trophy. You can do this with any minion but the browns are best since they can be seen wearing things they pick up.
