How to unlock the Hell Raider achievement in Overlord - Definitive Guide

YOU ARE GOING TO NEED A LOT OF BLUES
BEFORE YOU TRY THIS (I used 25)

Edit = (although very early on you will find all 4 Spawning Pits - so enter with fighty Browns!)

Enter via the domed, band stand like, structure to the right of where you arrive if you Teleport from your Tower to Mellow Hills.
(only visible AFTER you have selected to use DLC and have seen the cut-scene about your Peasants being lured away)

It's all one path until the first junction.
Turning Right - (see last line of Solution)**
note...some Sheep explode making them not worth going for close up (use Reds)
Pumpkins - pick out the nasty ones automatically with Reds.
You'll have to cross a river with some Blues, but don't even think about going toe to toe with the Pumpkins else you'll end up in a Dodgeball nightmare!

Get rid of ALL Pumpkins in the river.
(temp them back to your Browns guarding the shore)

I took 25 Blues across the water and up and left
to turn the wheel, while sweeping the rest into the Halflings home.

Put the Blues safely in a spawning pit.

Continue with Browns and a few Reds,

Use the Reds to remove the fire Barrier,
head up to cut scene of Melvin.

I followed Melvin, who eventually blew up while I was attacked by ordinary Halflings, on the far left.

The Field, to right is full of Deadly Pumpkins,
run some Reds up and place them on Guard at the tree trunk to kill the Big Pumpkin...then..
it took me a while of running around sweeping Minions away from Melvin, collecting life force (from burning Halflings) to keep replacing Browns and eventually killing all the little Pumpkins...

You'll get to just you and Melvin.

MELVIN EXPLODES AFTER HIS 3rd MEAL

Use a Minion to raise and lower the plates so that the highest one (by the buildings) is his 3rd meal

BOOM ! [edit - I realised that the red masks hanging here and there is where Melvin needs to explode for you to continue]

a new area opens up for you...

....Use 9 Minions to turn the wheel..

return to the new door way shown in cut scene

you will be attacked by a bunch of Wights on the way..

nice

In the Kitchen area use your Minions to act like sheep dogs and push the Sheep in to the Oven. That will set a new plate for Melvin and he'll explode

BOOM ! another new area...

this is another wheel turning area that opens the 2nd
cut-scene door...(rescue the man on the spit for a rainbow collection of life force!)

to the central area again and through the door....

Teleport to Tower to regain your Health and Mana...

come right back

Use Browns to clear the path to the right of the Pumpkins
to allow your Reds to kill the BIG Pumpkin.

I used 10 Reds to clear all the Pumpkins left,
using hit and run tactics.

When clear of Pumpkins,
head down on the left side to get a Tower Object.

Return to where the spawning pits are and use the other exit.

A Golf Course..
I placed a single Blue Minion at the first Red Flag..
Melvin rolled towards it..
he stopped near the Red Mask on the wall

BOOM !

another new area

The next one I stood all by my lonesome in the circular area to the left of Melvins spawn point - he rolled at me, bounced back onto the Red Mask on wall area

BOOM !

yet another new area (becoming tiresome now)

no here's the bit that frustrates everyone

yup you need to put 3 Minions on the cart
but it won't move until you left trigger lock onto it.

THEN you can play pong with Melvin.

Knock all 4 barriers down and Melvin doesn't come back.

Retrieve the spokes and turn the wheel

onwards !

you will fight through some Wraiths
(standard Reds at he back, Browns up front)

then as you grab the Abyss Stone you are ambushed by waves of Peasants (you can kill them without worrying about Purity)

I recommend staying at the back
(the stones original position)
and not rushing, once again Reds at back, you and Browns up front.

Return the Stone to your Teleport Pad

voila

Achievement (annoying as it was) Unlocked.

Msg me with any questions guys..

** I never did get round to ever turning left !

To the left is just a Wight graveyard thing, with peasants digging them up and being killed and respawning, and few paths with crates to smash and loot. Nothing else there of importance
