How to unlock the Red Minions achievement in Overlord - Definitive Guide

The Red Hive is found in Melvin's Kitchen, near Spree to the left of the Halfling Homes. Once you return the hive to your tower, the achievement will unlock.

You get this achievement simply by playing through the game's story mode.

Did you actually have your minions carry the red hive to the teleporter to transport the red hive back to your tower? Thats the only thing I can think of, but I played this over 3 years ago now so I might be forgetting something.

How on earth do I get this, and the red hive? I defeated Melvin and found the reds temporarily, but they go away after I return to the tower and I cant spawn any.
