How to unlock the Ultimate Survivor achievement in Overlord - Definitive Guide

There is a Second Easy way. If you have the free DLC pack load up rocky race. Have both Overlords grab Greens quickly and place them in the middle of the Bridge to the Right of the Spawn. They will go Invisble as above. But you have to do it fast so they do not get crushed by the massive Troll coming towards you. Some times if you're lucky he may smash some but the survivors still block him from crossing the bridge. If they all die or you're too slow just let the troll kill you and start again

Make sure you also do not place them too close to the beginning of the bridge as the Troll can still sometimes slip around them. And placing them Too far to the other side can cause them to pounce on the Fire bugs spawning there.

Move the Overlords back into the Starting area next to the Spawning pits as some times the Lesser trolls who drop the Poles for the mechanism next to the bridge will spawn if you're not in the starting area.

Now just do some house work cook something to eat, do some shopping and 30minutes later you have the Achievement.

Nice find man! It works really well. I did it on my own in splitscreen with a second controller. To save a couple of seconds: use the second controller in splitscreen because that spawns you directly facing the green mound...

this works great. I placed the green behind the giant rock, on the right site at the start of the bridge.

I can't believe how stupidly easy that achievement actually is... I was arround ~25 minutes doing it the normal way not knowing of that trick. Man, waste of time there. Nice find, indeed.

Great solution! Incredibly easy way to get an achievement with such a high TA ratio.

Once you've got this far, keep going to get the 45 minute achievement. You don't need to buy the Challenge pack to do this - it unlocks for the freebie DLC.

Took me a few tries to get it right, but worked like a charm. Great guide.

This definitely works and HeyMrBassman is right, you can keep going to get the Extended Survivor achievement from the Challenge Pack DLC even if you don't have the Challenge Pack DLC - Just ride it out to 45 minutes. One concern though, we had to place our greens at the narrow start of the bridge instead of in the middle in order for the greens to go invisible before the rock giant smashed them. Also have your overlords stand as far back in the spawn area as possible and then don't move them because a horde of rock trolls spawns in the area and you don't want them to notice you.

Just got around to finally trying this solution! It worked like a charm! 6 measly green minions held off the troll for an hour! Ha! Thanks for saving me loads of time and angst!

Did this last night with another guy, we had heard the 45 min achievement would also unlock, and it did. We DID NOT have the Challenge pack DLC, only the free splitscreen.

I can't do Screenshots but you put them at the end of the bridge the starting point is on, If the troll is crushing them it's because you're not doing it fast enough, or you're putting them too far down the bridge. They will go invisible once they are in position. Also make sure you're using the marker to place them not trying to manually control them. Just make sure they are central across the width of the bridge not length and closest to you and they should be fine. then move the overlord back to the spawn area so the smaller trolls don't spawn.

Took a bit to figure out the right placement but worked perfectly. Used my second controller to get the greens faster.

There are two ways to do this. The hard way and the easy way.

I'll start off with the easy way. If you don't have the DLC Challenge pack feel free to skip ahead to the hard way.

Easy Way:

Load up Silent Hall, and as soon as you are in have one overlord grab all the green minions(and no other minions). There are four corners in the map; find the one with the barrels in it and cram yourself between the barrels and the corner. There's actually plenty of room. Put your green minions on a guard marker and move the marker basically into the corner so they stealth. No large enemies will wander back to this corner. Every five minutes rats will spawn near you and the greens will slaughter them. This is the only thing that could screw things up. If something sees your greens killing the rats it may come and attack you. You can probably survive one attack if you're sitting there, but two will do you in. That's where the luck came in.

The hard way:

There is no tried and true sure fire method with the original maps. You're going to be best off playing on Gates of Destruction or Last Stand. Either way it'll be rough in the end. I'd strongly recommend playing this with someone who you can communicate easily with either via voice chat or in the same room since you'll need to be covering each other's backs. If one dies, both die. If you don't have any way to talk to the other person, you're probably just going to be wasting time.

You should be in decent shape for the first 25 minutes or so. That's when things will start to get hairy. What you're going to want to do at that point is try to kill as many enemies as humanly possible. Go balls to the wall to clear out some running room. If you're better than myself and can fight it out to the end, all the more power to you. More likely than not you're going to end up getting overwhelmed in the last few minutes. If things get too desperate begin to run away like crazy, sacrificing minions to restore your health when you come to the health totems.

Any way you cut it this achievement is going to be very hard on the original maps, and any strategy will be dicey at best with a strong dose of luck or skill needed. If you don't succeed, try, try and try again until you have a really solid feel of the enemies that will spawn at their given times.

I like your guide for not using the "bridge" terminology which is confusing. The bridge is broken.
