How to unlock the Bulletproof Barriers achievement in Overwatch 2 - Definitive Guide

This challenge is fairly difficult if you try to do it by yourself, easily the 2nd hardest challenge as not only is it on Expert difficulty and the large robots shields unbreakable but so are the Orisa’s shields at the very end of the level forcing you to flank around them.

The general strategies for this are pretty much the same as the Legendary Uprising achievement:
- A good Reinhardt can carry his team pretty well regardless of what his team picks. He can charge the bombs right before they detonate and push them away from the cart easily with practice. He is also very helpful in protecting your team at the end of the mission and protecting them so they can get around the Orisa and kill the Bastion turrets (the Orisas don’t spawn until after you kill the ones in order so you should skip the first one and kill the bastions further ahead).

- Bastion is also ideal as he can do a lot of damage and can heal himself, however you’ll have to rely on your teammates to take out the shield bots or at least distract them so you can shoot them when they turn.

- Mercy and/or Baptiste are always nice. Mercy can damage boast and her Res can instantly revive a person no matter how much time they stack up from dying repeatedly. Baptiste is also good for crowd healing and his ultimate pairs nicely with a stationery Bastion. Baptiste can also gain his ult very quickly and easily.

The 4th team mate can be pretty much anything at this point. The other characters I’ve listed can carry even the most suicidal random player as long as the other 2 or 3 communicate or have good game sense.

Sombra is a good choice for the 4th team mate so she can hack shields from behind and putting to sleep basically every robot, including turret-form bastions and big-head bombs

Hey good advice!
I never would’ve thought about using her but yeah she would be OP in this mode.

I found Torb to still be a viable option as a 4th. You build ult really fast and a lot of the time the Orisa will stand in the ult making them an easy kill. Brig is also an option but just remember barrier blocks LOS of her Inspire passive so she may not be the best idea.

I should add that Symmetra could also be a valid pick as well. Her primary beam regains ammo when hitting a barrier shield and the damage out put increase the longer it’s hitting a shield or enemy.
Plus she can put 3 laser turrets on the cart that damage anything that gets too close.

So my experience right now after lots of tries...!
We tried combinations of Sombra/Reinhardt/Mercy/Torb/Bastion...
Never really got close.
Last try... past when the event had ended, so very last chance, we got it with me as Torb, a Mercy, a Sombra, and a REAPER!! Reaper was fantastic for wiping out enemies behind the shields.

Hey CatTully. I checked your achievement list and it looks like you unlocked this achievement the same day you left your comment. Must’ve been a delayed or didn’t show you the achievement unlocked animation.
Nice job beating this challenge!
