How to unlock the Centenary achievement in Overwatch 2 - Definitive Guide

In case anyone was wondering how many games you have one you can check by going to "Career Profile" and look at the top right corner since Xbox doesn't have track percentages linked to Overwatch.

I have won close to 500 games, still no achievement. Am I doing something wrong?,

It is worth noting that I believe it has to be 100 games on either quick play or competitive and not between the two as I originally believed.

It is also worth noting that it seems to be 100 games in either 'quickplay' or 'competetive' and not a combination of the two like @savo76 mentioned above.
EDIT: I can confirm it has to be 100 games won in either 'quickplay' or 'competetive' and not a combination of the two.

I have 100 wins in competitive yet my achievement isn’t popping? Has anyone else had this problem?

Achievement DID NOT UNLOCK at 100 wins :(

Update: Achievement unlocked at 103 wins. Phew!! Just keep winning matches if it doesn't pop at 100 wins.

103 quickplay wins, 85 seasonal wins, 83 role queue wins, 20 open queue wins & no achievement yet. Will update. Assuming they need to be either all role or open?

Finally got the achievement! 120 quickplay wins, 102 seasonal wins, 100 role queue wins, 20 open queue.

For anyone seeing this in the future, Blizzard now allows achievements in quick play classic which has no role que(character achievements and some specific gamemode ones). Unfortunately the achievement for the 100 wins does not count in this gamemode, so make sure to knock out your wins in the actual quick play or comp and not waste time like myself.

This is an achievement that will unlock as you play the game, the only possible way to potentially increase the speed at which you gain this achievement would be to improve your own skill at the game through a variety of ways such as watching creators that make content about the game and practicing in both the practice range and practice vs AI.

You need to win a total of 101 matches of both types. The achievement opens after the 101st victory, and not after the 100th.

I didn’t know why, but they gave it after 130 wins, 64 fast, 66 competitive

Totally doesn't work. I had 92 wins in quick play and 8 in ranked. The trophy didn't drop. I scored 100 wins in a quick game and the trophy dropped. So, it is better to score victories in a quick game.
