How to unlock the Clearing the Area achievement in Overwatch 2 - Definitive Guide

Pharah's Concussive Blast ability allows her to shoot a small rocket that knocks enemies back, with a cooldown of 12 seconds.

The best maps to do this on are the neutral objective maps of Nepal, China & Greece, as they are designed to have enemies be knocked off. Just fly up above the battlefield and wait for an enemy to be near an open ledge. Use the blast to push them off and score the achievement.

Overwatch 2 Solution
What does Concussive Blast do?
Concussive Blast shoots a projectile straightforward. When it collides, it knockbacks any enemies (or herself) within 8 meters. If the projectile hits an enemy directly, it will deal 30 damage and increase knockback to the enemy that was hit directly.

How do I unlock Clearing the Area?
The first requirement is a map that allows players to fall to their deaths. While Hollywood is the only map that doesn't have a pit, some maps, such as King's Row, are not recommended as they only have limited pits.
Tanks have a passive that causes them to take 30% less knockback so you'll probably want to try to knock back a damage or support.

Some Recommended Maps
  • Illios: Well has a hole in the middle of the point
  • Lijiang Tower: Garden has a small bridge attackers may pass
  • Nepal: Sanctum has a pit by the point
  • Rialto: Point A has a small bridge attackers have to pass
Boosting Methods
The Lockdown Method
This is the most common method to boost Overwatch that requires 10 people.
  1. Get a group of 10 people.
  2. Get into two groups of 5
  3. Disable cross play
  4. Queue for Quick Play Open Queue at the same time and hope it matches you guys up
  5. Once you match up, have an enemy stand by a pit and knock them into it.
Remember to keep the objective contested unless it's a Control map which will not need contesting unless someone captured it.

An easy map to do this achievement in is Nepal as the capture base has one whole side where people could fall off. Just aim it right and they should go flying off.

Lijiang tower also has one objective that's inside a building with a path around. Next to that path there's a cliff where people can fall off.

Every time I play on that map I rarely see anyone around there.

This achievement requires careful timing and aim so I would recommend that you practice in the practice range first.
What you will want to do for this achievement is knock someone off the map using concussive blast, this can be anywhere on the map as long as they hit the death barrier as a result of the blast.
The most effective maps for this purpose are ones with plenty of open space and focus on areas with drops such as ilios well or Lijang tower garden for plenty of space to fly and central points with a large amounts of area to knock enemies into.

The easiest way to do it is in the 3rd arena of Nepal. The capture point is surrounded on 3 sides by an abyss.

You can easily do it on the Illios map, in the part where the CT is located next to the cliff. People often go beyond the boundaries of the defended area and pushing them off the map is not difficult
