Junkenstein Endless is only available during the Halloween Terror and Anniversary events.
What is Junkenstein Endless?
Like Junkenstein's Revenge, Endless has you and 3 other people stopping hordes of enemies from reaching the castle door. Excluding enemy behaviors and map, that's about the only thing these two modes share. Instead of a huge timer, Endless consists of 12 waves, lasting 1 minute each. Enemy bosses are much weaker, both in health and damage output, but will spawn more frequently. To add on to that, 4 new heroes, Widowmaker, Genji, Torbjorn, and Zenyatta, are available to play along side the original 4, Cassidy, Soldier:76, Ana, and Hanzo.
How do I earn Six They Were?
You must win Endless with 6 out of the 8 heroes. In endless, winning means making it past all 12 initial waves. After the 12, bonus waves will continue to spawn in enemies until your team is defeat, at which point you will earn the victory.
What difficulty should I play on?
Junkenstein Endless has four difficulties, normal, hard, expert, and legendary. Any difficulty can be played to earn this achievement, so play on normal if you're having trouble with a particular hero.
Heroes
All of the heroes abilities act as normal. I have listed what abilities should be used for in the spoilers tab. If you have any suggestions, feel free to comment below.
Ana
Biotic Rifle: You should prioritize healing and then Zombardiers. Biotic Grenade: Use when allies need major health and to stop Roadhog from self healing. Sleep Dart: Use to stop put bosses to sleep. Ultimate (Nano Boost): Use on an ally to help kill bosses
Genji
Swift Strike: Don't be afraid to use this as you will get it back quickly. Deflect: Normal uses (deflect attacks back) Dragonblade: Use on bosses, with the Witch being a priority
Hanzo
Scatter Arrows: Use to damage groups of enemies or bosses Sonic Arrows: Use to show allies hard to see enemies Ultimate (DragonStrike): Use to clear linear lines of enemies or Dr. Junkenstein
Cassidy
Flashbang: Use on Zombardier and Boss' ultimates to interrupt them Combat Roll: Use normally (quick reload) Ultimate (High Noon): Use on bosses
Soldier: 76
Helix Rockets: Use these to kill Zombardiers and Bosses quicker Biotic Field: Should be reserved for group heals, large heals, or bosses, but try to use often. Ultimate (Tactical Visor): Use to clear out large hordes that are overbearing, clear hordes before/after a boss shows up, or Dr. Junkenstein.
Torbjorn
Turret: Build it on the high ground to the right Armor: Healers are priority Molten Core: Use it when overwhelmed or on bosses
Widowmaker
Grappling Hook: Use it for movement. There are platform above the gate. Venom Mine: Throw it at a big group of enemies or at the foot of the bridge to catch any omnics who sneaked by Infra-Sight: Use when you are getting overwhelmed or when a group of Shock-Tires is coming
Zenyatta
Discord Orb: Use it to kill Zombardiers and bosses faster Harmony Orb: Use to keep far away allies healed Transcendence: Use it when you need massive healing or if you're about to die
Common Enemies
Common enemies are the horde in horde-type game modes. They are easily defeated alone, but when in a group (horde) they can easily overwhelm the players and take the objective.
Zomnic
These are the most common enemies and follow a simple path towards the castle door where they will explode and damage the door. They will not try to attack the players, but you will take damage if you are caught in the explosion.
Zombardier
These are the second most common enemies. These enemies will attack from a long range, dealing considerable damage. They will stay far away, occasionally moving side to side. Do not let them grow in numbers or you will be punished.
Shock-Tire (RIP-Tire)
These do not do as much damage as the RIP-Tire and will strictly go for the door, exploding and damaging any nearby players when they reach it. They move somewhat unpredictably, making them hard to hit. Your team will call out the position of the Shock-Tire once Dr. Junkenstein announces he is sending one.
Bosses
These bosses are modeled after the heroes of Overwatch and share the abilities of their counterparts, but have bigger health pool. Their damage is weaker than that of the actual hero.
The Reaper (Reaper)
He will began by Shadow Steps to the front of the bridge. His health pool isn't to big, so gunning him down is the best way to deal with him. He can use Death Blossom and Wraith and will not use Shadow Step after he spawns in.
Junkenstein's Monster (Roadhog)
He spawns at the other end of the bridge. He will usually choose a path through the water or down the bridge. He will try and hook you and then shoot at you, occasionally using Take A Breather to heal. Again, just focus him down when he's alone, although he could take a while to bring down, so don't forget about protecting the door. He can use Whole Hog and Chain Hook, although he does not seem to move while using Take A Breather.
The Summoner (Symmetra)
She spawns at the top left. She will place a Shield Generator there as well that will give everything that's not you and your allies shields. These do stack if more than one is in play. She will start by throwing a Photon Barrier to the front of the bridge and then will go down the stairs. She will continue to throw Barriers and Energy Balls until she is close enough to attach a Photon Projector to you or your allies. Someone should flank behind her (Soldier:76, Hanzo, and Genji are good) to destroy the Shield Generator. Widowmaker can also destroy it from high ground. She does not use Teleporter or Sentry Turrets.
Dr. Junkenstein (Junkrat)
He will spawn on the wooden platform in the back to the top right. He lob grenades at a faster rate than Junkrat. Focus him down when he's alone. He does not use Steel Trap, Concussion Mine, or RIP-Tire.
The Witch (Mercy)
She will spawn at the end of the bridge and use Resurrect on Dr. Junkenstein and his monster. She will heal both of them, until she is dead. She is top priority and using ultimates is advised. Cassidy's Deadeye can one-shot her. She will not use damage boost, Guardian Angel, or Valkyrie and she will not Resurrect after the 2 initial ones.

This achievement wouldn’t initially unlock but did so once I restarted the game, for anyone who has such an issue.

I think this is bugged, I'm pretty sure I've used every hero except Widow and played until we eventually died in the bonus stages and still don't have it.

Since Overwatch 2's launch the normal difficultly has been significantly more challenging so this will be harder to obtain unfortunately.
