How to unlock the Window of Opportunity achievement in Overwatch 2 - Definitive Guide

Edit: My solution was for pre 2-2-2 Only chance it’ll work now is in classic quick play.

This method requires 6 people and in my opinion is easier than the other guide posted. Get a six stack and 5 of you go tanks just don’t go dva because if she gets de-meched you’re going to get a lot less healing. Now the one person going for the achievement sits in spawn so you can’t die. Now you will have to pop out for a second every now and then so the game doesn’t kick you. The rest of the 5 tanks sit right out side of spawn in a group and take damage from the enemy team while baptise heals you. Once the enemy team realizes you are just sitting at spawn they will just spawn camp which is why this works so well. Baptise will get his ult so fast it’s insane. Once you have your ult make sure all 5 of your tanks are alive and standing out front of spawn. Throw a immortality field on them, ult and just heal them don’t worry about doing damage just purely heal. Rinse and repeat within 3-4 ults the achievement should pop. My group of 6 managed to do this with 1 person getting the achievement each match. One match even two people got it, it depends on the map. Ideally you want a payload map or 2 cp and to be on offence. It’s a little harder on defence. If you get an assault map it’s a little tougher too because once the enemy teams caps the point you have a smaller time frame before it reaches 100% but it’s still totally doable.

Also I was part of Muscat5032 team and the first one to earn it. Just to sumarize what the guide says:

- Besides the booster (Baptiste) everyone must pick a tank hero
- The tanks must stay in the door (outside if the secure area limit is right in the door, inside otherwise), try to not use any shield ability (too much, only to keep yourself alive a little longer for the healing)
- The booster should use healing grenades and the healing skill to build up his ultimate
- Once he gets the ultimate ready he must throw the immortality field, activate the ultimate in front of him and keep shooting healing grenades (prevent the use of the healing skill while the ultimate is active).
- Repeat the two previous steps until the booster get the achievement.

Why do I feel like this is nearly impossible now with 2-2-2?

Just do old school quick play. So you’re not locked into 2-2-2

I don’t think it’s possible to do in quickplay Classic ^^^ devs didn’t add in achievement capability yet for it, honestly so annoying.

Can someone clarify something for me?

The "with out dieing" part does that mean the entire match?

Or does that only come in to effect after using your first ultimate?

It means the entire match, if you can manage to stay alive that whole time. Dying at any point resets however much amped damage you've accumulated for purposes of this achievement. So if you stay alive long enough to use your ult 3 times without dying, all three uses rack up amped damage and combine. Let's say you manage to do 500 amed dmg with each use, by the third ult you'd be at 1500 dmg. But if you get killed before using ult #4, your amp damage would reset to 0.

Was part of Muscat5032's group when we attempted this. Worked a charm and we all got the achievement first time trying. Great advice above.

Was also part of this group. Worked really well with random enemy team spawn camping us ad people were unlocking the achievement every 3-4 minutes without much effort .

This method can also be used to get "stand by me" achievement as you can double up the Baptiste healing with the immortality field.

For those trying to do this legit, I suggest not even bothering on game modes other than escort and hybrid. The other modes are not long enough without getting extremely lucky ults. Some enemy heros also make this very difficult - if the enemy has a doomfist, widow, genji, etc, it can be very hard to stay alive the entire game.

I unlocked this on Rialto, and it took 5 uses of my ult to get it. Being on defense is a little easier, because you can purposely throw the game a bit to make the game last longer. Rialto is a decent map for this as there are not too many flank routes with the exception of the very beginning of the map.

Once I had my ult, if I could see 2 enemy tanks or at least 2 or 3 enemies, I ulted and started firing. Fortunately, even alone as Baptiste you can often do 400 to 500 damage. Orisa/Reinheart/Zarya are all great team mates to have to maximize damage through the window.

I do not suggest trying to get this by healing. I would sometimes throw some heals through the wall if allies were very low, but I found that you will not amp nearly as much going only via healing.

Save your abilities to save yourself. Good luck!

I hate that the game doesn't track healing amplified in your in-game stats. It's impossible to see how close you are unless you're just going for damage :(

You can track it but I found it to be extraordinarily difficult to quickly calculate/stay alive/charge your next ult.

It doubles healing, so you can check your healing prior to ult and after, and divide the difference by two. I found that to be too much of a pain while trying to focus on the rest.

Thought this achievement would be easy to get but it's not because damage to shields doesn't count as damage amplified. I've been playing as Baptiste and when I use my ultimate my teammates just ignore it. So far the most damage I've got in one use is by putting it in a teammate Bastion's line of sight while he was in Sentry Mode.

I also found that my teammates mostly ignored it. If one person other than me shot through it, I was happy lol.

If you've got decent aim and there arent too many barriers (sometimes even if there are you can burn through them pretty quickly) you can get 400-500 damage yourself. I found orisa to be a team mate who would shoot through it in combo with her barrier.

on the subject of whether to heal or damage when using the ult. How about both. You can hold down the trigger for both healing and damaging and they will both fire at (or close to) their normal rate. I use this effect all the time as Bap. Great if you have a teammate face tanking you can heal them whilst doing damage at the same time

If you can do both, then by all means. I just found i did more damage if I just focused on targeting enemies rather than trying to split focus.

With the release of Overwatch 2, they lowered the required amounts from 2500 to 2000. That should make it easier, but still really difficult. It is probably the hardest achievement to do legit in the game still (though Junker Queen's Adrenaline Junkie achievement pushes it).

I did it yesterday in open queue with a couple of friends. Ask them pick a tank and when your ultimate is ready, wait for them to be both at low health. Use the wall to heal them, you will easily get 1000+ heals with 1 wall. Survive until the next wall, repeat what you've done before and the achievement will pop. Obviously, the more the friends in your team, the easier

Yes, having friends to coordinate with makes most overwatch achievements so much easier, unfortunately I had to do them all solo lol

That's a smart tactic with the two friends as tank - I knew about the open queue tactic, but having friends help like that never crossed my mind. I don't have people to do that with, but when I'm ready to go for it, I will at least keep saving ult for opportunities like that.

Someone wanna do a 5 team and do everyone in rotation with the heal method?

I believe this one is bugged. Since the game has that screen which you can see how much damage/heal you've done (Select button), I keep watching it and exceeded 2000 combined damage and heal many times without a single death and still didn't get this. According to achievement definition it should unlock the moment you reach 2000, and you could still die for the rest of the game. I'm not sure Blizz even knows about this.

Worked for me 5th May 2024. New Queen Street. Had about 1,700 damage amplified when it popped, due to healing through the window too. Was a crossplay game with PC.

I agree with solution above. Just got this solo in open queue on king’s row. I stayed behind my whole team for most of the game, and Enemy team had dva and roadhog which took most of the damage. I did also heal at the same time through the matrix on occasion, but most of this was damage. Amplified about 1700 damage when achievement unlocked, and it took I think 4 ultimates to do. Make sure you stay on the back line and keep abilities for yourself to stay alive.

For those interested, replay code is KRF426. Good luck to everyone!

Considering that this has been adjusted for Overwatch 2, I’d like to submit my guide. I got this as soon as Baptiste debuted, but helped a friend get it last night.

Window of Opportunity now states 2,000 in healing of damage amplified. That’s down 500, but there are two less players in a given game. The key is to focus on the healing. You have much more control over amplifying heals than you do generating meaningful damage. It is too easy for an enemy tank to absorb or block that damage, or even just dip out of view. You don’t need a full team, but I recommend having two friends play tank to well… tank damage to receive healing during your ultimates. Don’t bother attempting this on control maps as the counter resets with each round.

My video guide:

Window of Opportunity - Overwatch 2’s RAREST Achievement Made Easy

Inaccurate description of the trophy. To receive it, you must provide a total of 2500 units. bonus damage and healing in one life, while using the ult ability “Window of Opportunity”. The name and icon of the trophy seem to hint. Regular healing and damage are not taken into account.

The best outcome for Batista is for him to have Soldier 76 or Bastion on his team and Lucio and as many tanks as possible on the enemy team.
In my opinion, the best card for cambric is Numbani
