This achievement seems to be partially luck based, but can be done with the following:
-Start a game of joust with only two players
-Have one of the players select a chicken character (I don't think it matters who the other player picks)
-Play normally and the chicken will eventually throw an egg which will hatch into a baby chick.

oh, and you might as well have both players as birds. I figure it doubles your chances :)

the chicken doesn't eventually throw an egg. You get the egg from a ? the same way you grab lasers. I just got the egg, but died before I could throw it. I just wanted to clarify because I had been avoiding the ? waiting for the egg but the first and only time I've seen it is immediately after I got a ? so I don't know if it was the recent update or not but I'll let you know in a bit because I am playing this again :(
