How to unlock the Atlas of Worlds achievement in Path of Exile - Definitive Guide
You do not need the atlas counter to read 126/126. That counter is for doing magic/rare/rare corrupted maps for atlas bonus.
For atlas achievements you can strictly do white quality maps. As long as the map icon shows on your atlas you are credited towards this achievement.
All unique maps, guardians, and shaper are required too.
atziri/uber atziri/breachlords/ pale council and league specific maps like beach head aren’t required. Essentially if it doesn’t have a spot for icon on atlas it isn’t needed.
This trophy will be one of the most time consuming and expensive by far. There are 144 non-unique maps and 23 unique maps. Based off the rarity of maps on the PC version, there should be a handful of unique maps which are extremely rare and thus very expensive to purchase. Non-unique maps are not especially expensive. The only exception being the highest tier maps being a little more expensive, though they usually pay for themselves with good drops. This is a trophy that will likely be best accomplished in a group, because only one person needs to have the map item and 6 players could complete it at once, assuming nobody dies and wastes one of the 6 expendable portals.
Other than the issue of the expensive unique maps, there is only 1 map that can be a major issue to overcome. Hall of Grandmasters is a unique map that is filled with character builds from old versions of Path of Exile. Some of these builds were so broken than it was impossible to kill them with any skill that "hits" an enemy. Nearly every skill in the game registers as a hit so this will make it impossible to complete Hall of Grandmasters unless your build can switch to a skill that doesn't "hit" e.g. Scorching Ray.
