How to unlock the No Pup is too Small achievement in Paw Patrol: On a Roll - Definitive Guide
There are 200 pup treats (I call em bones in the following) in each level and 16 levels for a grand total of 3200 pup treats. Pup treats are the only requirement for getting platinum. Speed, accuracy, special power tests, and collisions have no effect. *Edit - If you have less than 100 treats then back track. There will always be 100 treats/bones in each area. Read the notes for more info but I don't see any need for a video/pictures of that many bones that are all out in the open.
Some notes:
1) While swimming, there is a lag to your up and down that can throw you off and make you miss. The only level I had to replay was because of this lag and it was the walrus level (lvl 10). The moving ones are hardest to time with said lag.
2) While flying/swimming it is sometimes easier to collide with clouds/birds or fish/seaweed to slow yourself down while lining up the next one.
3) While in mazes make sure to always take the path that your powers don't suggest since your powers will get you through the maze faster. If not, you will replay a level for sure.
4) While snowboarding don't jump too soon or you will miss the last item in your path
5) There are no collectibles behind you when you start a level.
6) There is always 2-3 golden paws + exactly 100 bones in the first half of a level and 2-3 golden paws + 100 bones on the second half of a level. All levels have two halves.
7) There are lots of points of no returns so take your time and check every nook or enjoy a rerun of this crud game.
8) May be most important, in levels with brown backgrounds like platforms, mountains, dirt and what not, the bones can be hard to see. Better to double check n just walk around those areas rather than replay a level.
There are no bosses and no way to die. The only irritation that can occur is due to levels where you fly/swim. This may cause you to have to replay levels if you miss a collectible.
To unlock this achievement, you have to collect all 200 treats in all 16 missions of the game (they look like dog biscuits). Most of them are along the path you take, but you may have to backtrack a little to get some if the path splits (like in a maze).
When you reach the halfway point of the mission, you switch dogs. If you do not have 100 treats when this happens, then you have missed some. As you cannot go back, you will need to replay the mission through chapter select.
Note: If you happen to miss any in a mission, you can replay the mission but you will have to collect all 200 treats again. This goes for Paw Prints as well.
Each of the 16 rescue missions in the game contains 200 pup treats to collect, and collecting them earns you a graded Pup Treat at the end of a mission. You will receive a Bronze Pup Treat for collecting 1 pup treat, a Silver Pup Treat for collecting one third of the pup treats (67 pup treats), a Gold Pup Treat for collecting two thirds of the pup treats (133 pup treats) and a Platinum Pup Treat for collecting all 200 pup treats within a mission. Therefore for this trophy to unlock, you need to collect all 200 pup treats in every mission.
You need to collect all 200 pup treats in a single run of the mission. If you miss one, you cannot go back and collect only that one missing pup treat and quit, nor can you collect only that one and complete the mission for it to count - you must collect all 200 pup treats and reach the end of the mission for them to save. All of the missions are played in two halves with two different Pups, and each half has 100 pup treats, so you will know if you are on track to collect all 200 when you reach the midpoint of that level and you have 100. If you don’t, you may as well quit to the mission select screen and start over.
It is not hard to find all 200 pup treats on every mission, as the vast majority are put in your path anyway, but there are a few tips I can give to help avoid any replaying of the missions:
- Be extra vigilant in sections where you cannot go back, for instance when playing as Chase or Tracker in a maze, be sure to go in the opposite direction to where the game says in order to get all of the slightly more well hidden pup treats. Likewise, be careful in Skye’s flying sections and Zuma’s underwater sections, as you can’t fly or swim backwards. When Marshall has to use his X-ray machine to find a key, scan all items for pup treats before grabbing it.
- The pup treats are slightly harder to see against matching (brown) backgrounds such as buildings, rocks and especially the chalets in the snowy sections. Be careful not to miss any here while you are concentrating on jumping up and down the platforms.
- Sometimes the game will have a higher and lower path to take, and later on there are several platforms at differing heights; as always in situations like this, backtrack down the path you didn’t take in order to get a pup treat that may have been slightly out of view.
