At this difficulty you should find yourself a group of players you are comfortable with and begin to split assignments and skills amongst yourself to ensure best possible results per mission. OVERKILL will test your abilities and your knowledge of the contracts as much as it will bombard you with more elite and efficient enemies.

Isn't Overkill harder then Very hard? I ask because Very Hard has less people who have completed it and a higher ratio? Do the difficulties not stack?

Difficulties do not stack. You need to do each one. And yes, Overkill is harder but most people do not even bother playing very hard at all.

I just did all heists on overkill and all three achievements popped so they do stack now it seems.

Anyone know if this is still obtainable without the pro jobs? I had 3 jobs left for DW, 2 were Pro jobs.

I can answer part of this - I finished my last non-pro job on DW and achievement did NOT unlock. I see some other threads on reddit where people said it was a total of unique DW contracts, so theoretically once I buy the DLC and do some of those on DW this should unlock. I'll provide further update in the future if that works.

The achievement for DW does eventually unlock after doing enough DW jobs. Not necessarily the list above though (I still haven't done one of the Christmas ones but my DW achievement popped). I assume the same holds true for this achievement and the lower ones.

So then the assumption should probably be that it's linked to the original number of missions. Would that be correct?

I can speak to the fact that it is not necessarily the original number of death wish jobs. I have completed all the DLC death wish missions and by theory it should have given me the achievement as I only have 1 death wish mission left to do. I know which one it is. I wish I would have kept better records to post the actual list of jobs needed to be done. It is a specific list of jobs that need to be completed for the base difficulty achievements.

It is definitely not all missions. We did forego quite a few. The list in the guide is pretty accurate. There is only a few more that might need to be done. My group started a list on a google doc and we started deleting them as we completed them. I will look over my completed missions tomorrow and see if I can get a clearer picture.

It's not cumulative anymore if it ever was, I've done numerous DLC heists and still had to finish the list in the solution.

FYI Crime Spree appears to count towards this. I was one mission shy of finishing Death Wish when the Overkill and below achievements popped, and that last mission I needed didn't show completions for any difficulty. The only explanation I have is that I did that heist in Crime Spree.

If you don't know Crime Spree is set to Overkill difficulty, no matter how high the rating, so if you're in this mode anyways you can aim for heists you haven't completed. This won't count towards Death Wish though so it's not worth going out of your way if you have any intention of getting all difficulty achievements.

After the upgrade (September, 2016) there are more heists to be completed to unlock the achievements - You can stealth the heists with "*" in front of them

PS: This is what happened for me. The achievement for unlocking all Overkill jobs only unlocked after I finished the new jobs. And I didn't buy any DLC.

This achievement requires that you complete all missions on at least Overkill difficulty.
> There is a total of 50 missions you need to complete.
> Can be completed online or offline, with players or solo.
> DLC missions DO NOT count towards this. They cannot be completed in place of the original 50 missions. These are listed below.
> Difficulty DOES stack, so feel free to play on Death Wish difficulty to save time with other achievements.
> You can check your progress in game by selecting Crime Net > Contract Broker. From here selecting a mission will display how many times you have completed it in yellow under Risk. Skull one is for Hard difficulty and it works up to Death Sentence. (Normal is not displayed here).
> Joining a mission that has already started will not count towards this achievement. You must play the mission from start to finish.

Unlocking this achievement will also unlock the following achievement if you haven't already unlocked it;

The Things Just Got Real achievement in PAYDAY 2: Crimewave Edition worth 320 pointsComplete all contracts on the Very Hard difficulty or above.

The Tough Act to Follow achievement in PAYDAY 2: Crimewave Edition worth 273 pointsComplete all contracts on the Hard difficulty or above.

When you complete a mission, fill in that difficulty, as well as all those to the left, with the number one. When the total for that difficulty reaches 50 you should unlock your achievement.
Cells coloured in grey mark that they are not required for the achievement. However, as this does stack, completing on Mayhem for example will count towards all lower difficulties.
