How to unlock the Keep Clear of the Windows achievement in PAYDAY 2: CRIMEWAVE EDITION - Definitive Guide

DISCLAIMER: Due to the widespread issues with Payday 2 DLC achievements, you may find you do not unlock this achievement even after completing the necessary requirements.
If this happens to you, you should complete this in Crimenet Offline, while disconnected from Xbox Live (Settings > Network > Go Offline)

This achievement requires you to complete the Undercover mission, without killing any sniper enemies that are on the roofs of the surrounding buildings.

Important Points:
- If a converted enemy kills a sniper, it will void the run.
- While not confirmed, I assume that AI teammates may void your run. I wouldn’t recommend using them.
- Use whatever skills, weapons and perk decks you feel most comfortable with.
- I personally used the Improved Combined Tactical Vest (Enforcer > Tank > Iron Man Aced) with Armorer perk deck and first aid kits.

Setup:
- Crimenet Offline > Contract Broker > Classics > Undercover
- Normal Difficulty
- No Team AI

This achievement is very easy and shouldn’t require more than one run.

At the start of the mission, you will spawn in the same room as the computer where you’ll be performing the hack. Take a few minutes before the action starts to search around the building for planks of wood. These will be used to block the windows in the computer room, to stop snipers firing at you.

Once the limo gets lifted up by the crane, you’ll have to run to saw the taxman out. The limo might end up on the roof, in the stairwell after falling through the roof or on the top floor on the balcony. Normally the saw will break down once or twice and will require your input to restart.

Once the saw is complete, you will breach the limo to release the taxman and take the server. Walk the taxman down to the computer room and connect the server and power.

Over the next ten minutes, you’ll need to get the passwords from the taxman and complete the hack. When the taxman has a gold outline, use RB to yell at him. If he shakes his head, melee him once then yell at him again. Sometimes he will go unconscious for a moment before you can resume this.

During the hack, enemies can interrupt the process by either engaging with the computer or turning off the power around the building. Just defend the room and shoot any enemies that get close and follow the objective marker if the power turns off.

On Normal difficulty, this is very easy. If you’re achievement glitches like me and doesn’t unlock, just complete if offline as per the above instructions and you’ll get it no problem.

It is monday september 28th at 11:28 am and ive tried doing this offline like it says by going to network and disconnecting... Doing the mission using only melee and nothing more. Not eben toggling the laser then quiting the game and reconnecting at the home screen and nothing happened or worked. If anything else please let me know. My gamertag is also my name on here.....UGWRayne.

Updated: at 11:43 the achievement popped... Didnt know that there was a crazy delay. Ok so... So far the disconnecting playing the match, pick your reward card. Then quiting the game after you get returned back to the main menu. Then quitting the game and after you are at the dashboard you reconnect. This seems to work.... At least for me.

To unlock this achievement, you MUST NOT kill any snipers as they only appear on the roofs, so when you’re in the building it’s safe as long as you don’t start shooting out of the windows, accidentally killing a sniper. It does seem to void the achievement if the A.I kill any snipers because it would not unlock with them on, or have a party of four to make it easier. It can be played on normal if you want which would be best but can be paired with "Not Even Once".

Note: Turn AI off if you're not playing with a full team. If the AI kill a Sniper this will void the trophy.

This is quite difficult to do on Overkill difficulty or higher. Snipers hit really hard and can down you with a single shot. Snipers will be placed on the roofs of buildings across the street from you nad can have lines of sight on you on the rooftop and through the windows of the hotel. I suggest doing this on the normal difficulty with this Akimbo Dodge Build by b33croft. During the preparations stage of the heist at the very beginning, you can go around the hotel looking for wood planks to board up the server room so you don't have to deal with Snipers looking at you the whole time. If you just keep clear of the windows you won't have any chance of dying by or killing a sniper. Below shows how you should have your server room setup. If you would like some direction on the heist objectives please refer to Not Even Once trophy.

If you are not playing in 4, then turn off the bots, they kill snipers and also do not lure enemies to your side.
