How to unlock the Hoarder achievement in PC Building Simulator - Definitive Guide

This achievement will require you to reach and exceed level 30 and technically almost reach level 31. The last item you will need to unlock this achievement will be the 'EVGA SuperNOVA 1600 T2' Power Supply (PSU). You will be required to purchase all of the following:

SHOP

CPU/Processors
CPU Cooling
Motherboards
Memory
Graphics Cards
Storage
Power Supplies
Cables
Case Fans*
Tools and Software

*Be sure to unlock all colour variations for the case fans that have arrows either side of them. This seems to catch most people out.

You are NOT required to purchase all/any of the Cases for this achievement.

CUSTOM WATER COOLING SHOP

Radiators
Reservoirs
CPU Blocks
Water cooled GPUs
Pipes
Connectors
Coolant

PERIPHERAL SHOP

Keyboards
Mice
Mouse Mats
Headsets

Some people have reported that they have had best success when only having ONE of each item only. I personally did this and the achievement popped as soon as I purchased my last item and finished the current day.

Is this achievement bugged? Pretty sure I have everything in the inventory including the different coloured fans.

Have you checked each item and ticked off each one including peripherals etc?

Yeah, I’ve went through all the shops and made sure there was “Inventory 1” or “Owned” showing. Not sure what I’m missing.

Haha, yeah. I made sure I had the last item available before I went to buy everything. I'll load up again tonight and hopefully something just magically clicks. Haha!

Went through the store with a fine tooth comb and everything has "Inventory: 1" or "Owned" next to it. Ended the day again and no luck. :(

It's not popping for me either. I'm on Win10 on the newest version of PCBS in the MS Store. Will try tonight on my laptop which has an old version (that I used to glitch to $1 million).

Does anyone know how much it costs if I needed to buy EVERY item?

Are you almost level 31. I mention the last obtainable item that you unlock to purchase just before hitting level 31. I remember that's what it was for me...

IMPORTANT: I've been on the PCBS Discord asking around, and just noticed that there's been an update to the game on Xbox in May 2020 that added new parts. And new parts get locked behind extra levels - beyond level 30! So it's very likely that if you are unable to get the achievement to unlock, you need to do more jobs and get to the new max level - and buy the new parts that those levels bring. At the time of writing this means 27 new parts to unlock, in level 31 and 32.

The Steam version of PCBS is already at level 33, so if the Xbox version gets more updates, you most likely need to get to max level 33 to get those new parts again.

UPDATE: the achievement just unlocked for me after buying everything from the regular store and the watercooling store. I didn't buy anything from the peripheral shop (I was about to, but the achievement popped after I installed the shop program). there was a single new part that unlocked about 1/3rd way through level 33.

The maximum level in this is now 34.99.... (quite annoying really) meaning there's even more items to unlock. Before getting this, I'd recommend having about $550,000 in the account, as you're going to be needing it.

First off, you don't need to buy the cases, completely ignore those. Other than that, you need one of every other purchasable item in the game in your inventory, at once. I say purchasable, because there are some possible items that can't be bought, only obtained. I got the list of items available in the game from https://pcbuildingsim.fandom.com/wiki/All_Components

There are some items mislabeled (such as a 550 being a 560) but there's no real confusion when you're getting down to the inventory check.

Now, buying everything is going to take a very long time, and it will put a big strain on your eyes and patience, especially the case fans having to buy one of every color, but before even buying everything, sell EVERY item in your inventory, both new and used, this helps you start with a clean slate so you don't accidentally avoid something in the shop because you already have it.

Once you have bought everything from the main shop, the water cooling shop, and the peripheral shop, hopefully the achievement will unlock. Sadly, it probably won't, as in the hour or so you've spent buying stuff, you probably missed something, time to do the inventory checklist!

Open your inventory and 1 by 1, go through everything on the list above, checking it against your inventory. When you find something you don't have, go to the shop, and add it to the cart. IF THE ITEM IS NOT IN THE SHOP, YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE IT. There are a couple of items on the list I couldn't find in the shop, so you won't need them. Once you have finished checking out 1 section (definitely start with the case fans) buy the things from the shop (you don't want to have to check the other sections unnecessarily), pick them up, add them to your inventory, and go to the next day. Going to the next day should hopefully pop the achievement. If not, on to the next section to check that out.

Both fortunately and unfortunately, this achievement isn't glitched, so if you haven't unlocked it, you are definitely missing something, or you have more than 1 of an item in your inventory. Once again, DO NOT TRUST THE SHOP SCREEN FOR WHAT YOU OWN, IT LIES (especially for case fans)

Thank you for reminding me of the latest maximum level. I've been stuck with this achievement for a long time. Thank you very much.

All components are unlocked at the last levels of the character, the trophy cannot be missed, everything is for sale.

Cases for the trophy are not needed, but fans of different colors for the case are required.

For this trophy you need to fill the “Inventory” with all possible components. The hulls really don't count. Because the cabinet for storing cases is not considered as inventory. But just in case, level up level 30 itself all the way. Look carefully at what you have and what you don’t. If there is more than ONE item in the inventory. The trophy will still count. And yes, don’t forget to buy case fans in all colors.
