How to unlock the Blow 'em away achievement in PC Building Simulator - Definitive Guide

Thanks to HellAlex92 for giving me a baseline to work with from Free play.

I was about 55% of the way to level 28 (currently at level 27), and this is the setup I used to get a benchmark score of 22,137.

Note the settings I list below for the CPU and GPU tuners are the absolute MAXIMUM you should use - any higher, and you'll BSOD (blue screen of death) the computer.

Case: Cooler Master COSMOS C700P
MB: ASUS ROG Rampage VI Extreme
CPU: Intel Core i9-7980XE
CPU Block: EKWB EK-Supremacy EVO RGB - Nickel
GPUs: 2x EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra Gaming
Reservoir: EKWB EK-XRES 140 Revo D5 RGB
Radiator: EKWB EK-CoolStream SE 360 RGB
RAM: 8x G.Skill Trident Z (Silver) 16GB 4000 MHz
PSU: CORSAIR AX1600i
Storage: ADATA XPG GAMMIX S11 M.2 960GB
Case Fans: 4x EKWB EK-Vardar EVO 120ER RGB

Bios (Hold cn_LB/cn_RB when booting):
CPU OC:
CPU Chipset: i9-7980xe
CPU Speed: 4240 MHz
Base Clock: 106 MHz
Ratio: x40
Voltage: 1.45v
RAM OC:
XMP: Off
RAM Speed: 4452 MHz
RAM Voltage: 1.65v

On desktop use 'GPU Tuner'. If you haven't got it on your desktop, move your office PC to a workbench, use the thumbdrive, install it, then move the PC back to your Office Desk.
GPU Settings:
Core Voltage: +20% (Will say 120% at top middle)
Core Clock: +145 M (Will say 1900 MHz at top left)
Memory Clock: +150 M (Will say 1900 MHz at top right).

Apply all of these settings, benchmark test it with 3D Mark Advanced Edition, and your achievement will unlock.

For voltage you can always safely set to 1.7 for CPU, 1.8 for RAM, and completely max out the voltage slider for GPU. One less thing to worry about when overclocking (although you'll need to make sure your PSU is up for it)

Case: Corsair Obsidian 1000D
MB: ASUS ROG Rampage VI Extreme
CPU: Intel Core i9-9980XE
CPU Block: EKWB EK-Supremacy EVO RGB - Nickel
GPUs: 2x AORUS Geforce RTX 2080 Ti Xtreme waterforce WB 11G
Reservoir: Corsair XD5 RGB Combo
Radiators: 2 x Raijintek CALORE C360D, EKWB EK-Coolstream SE 280, Raijintek CALORE C240D
RAM: 8x G.Skill Trident Z RGB 8GB 4800 MHz
PSU: CoolerMaster Masterwatt 1200 MIJ
Storage: Patriot Viper VP4100 2TB 4800MB/S
Case Fans: none

Bios (Hold cn_LB/cn_RB when booting):
CPU OC:
CPU Chipset: i9-9980xe
CPU Speed: 4500 MHz
Base Clock: 100 MHz
Ratio: x45
Voltage: 1.45v
RAM OC:
XMP: ON
RAM Speed: 4200 MHz
RAM Voltage: 1.5v

GPU OC:

Power: 120%
Core Clock: 2117 Mhz
Memory Clock: 1931Mhz

I got 23,884 for my speeds, no thermal throttling.

I wanna add that you don't need to use the M.2 slot under the GPU. You can use the one that's next to the RAM... It'll allow you to install the faster drives.

You can (only) get this quite late in the Career (lv25+).

You need at least $8170 and Overclocking is needed.

Here are my Specs:

Case: Corsair Carbide Series 275R (Black)
Board: Gigabyte X299 Aorus Gaming 9
CPU: Intel Core i9-9980XE (Overclocked the Baseclock to 101 MHz, Multiplier x44, Voltage 1,65V @ 4444 MHz) <- 102 MHz seems to be stable in OCCT sometimes (bug?) but it will throttle down your CPU in 3DMark!
Cooling: NZXT Kraken X72
PSU: SilverStone ST1500-TI
RAM: 8x Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro (Black) 8 GB 4700 MHz (XMP turned off, RAM Voltage Overclocked to 1,75 V @ 4376 MHz) <- you can adjust the Speed (except the presets) ONLY by CPU speed.
HDD: Corsair Force Series Mp500 960GB M.2
GPU: 2x GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Xtreme 11G (Overclocked the Memoryclock by +253 MHz @ 2020 MHz with the maximum of 120% CoreV) <- This is by far the absolute maximum as beyond that it becomes a BSOD as it's getting too hot!

Note: You need to install the M.2 BEFORE the GPU by opening the little casing in the lower right which is exaktly behind the second GPU.

With this setting I reached a score of 22.494 :3

Tipp: if you do not want to overclock your GPU, you can still achieve a score of 20.015

EDIT: Solution will be updated as soon as I got the cheevo to specify the exact level you need to be at.

Your GPU overclock always results in a BSOD. Remove that and keep with the 20015. THis doesn't seem to be able to be done in free build, also.

the above specs are the absolute maximum. like I said: it worked for me using those specs - even with no aditional cooling fans. only cooling needed is the razer watercooling.

if you just want the cheevo, you can get a 20015 score without overclocking :3

and yeah, it is not obtainable in free play - must be done in career.

You should change the first sentence of your guide to read "You can only get this in career."

I did: "You can get this quite late in the Career (lv25+)." :3

thought it was obvious

It was just a little confusing because you mentioned the stuff you did in freeplay, that's all. Sorry for confusion
