How to unlock the All the Cheevos! achievement in Peggle 2 - Definitive Guide

I figured I would give some pointers on how I went about knocking this one out (pun intended). It's important to remember that, when it comes to Peggle, there's more than one way to skin a cat, so I'm sure there will be lots of useful strategies that won't be listed here. Feel free to let me know in the comments, so I can add them to the solution! Remember, Peggle is 20% skill, 20% luck, and 60% teeth-grinding persistence (but I'm sure you already know that). Anyway, here are a few strategies that I found useful...

Gnorman is your best friend. I found that Gnorman was, by far, the most useful Peggle master. I used him to complete a vast majority of the objectives. There are a few cases where the other masters are more useful (generally in the levels associated with them during the "story"), but I highly suggest using Gnorman as much as possible. Believe it or not, I found many of the "Ace" objectives to be far more taxing than the "Clear All Pegs" objectives (your mileage may vary). That being said, I was able to achieve nearly every "Ace" objective with Gnorman.

Don't be afraid to repeatedly restart a level before jumping in. Every time you restart a level, the location of the orange and green pegs change randomly. Sometimes I would spend a solid minute hitting restart over and over until I got the green/orange peg setup that I considered most optimal for a given level. Maybe you need a green peg near the top, maybe you need it near the bottom, or maybe you need the orange pegs a little more condensed. In any case, don't hesitate to keep restarting until you get the setup you're looking for.

Don't waste time on a mediocre run. If you're 3-4 shots into a level, you've already used a green peg or two, and you feel that the run is decent at best, just restart it. This is especially true when dealing with the "Clear All Pegs" objectives. By the time you have used both green pegs, you should feel like you are doing EXCEPTIONALLY well. If you don't feel fantastic at that point, you're probably better off restarting. Just remember, more time is wasted on bad runs that you play out than runs that you restart early.

Leave a single orange peg as high as you can to hit last. This pointer is only for to the "Clear All Pegs" objective. Sometimes when you're clearing all the pegs, you accidentally hit the last orange peg, effectively ending the level. This is enraging. I can't tell you how many times I have had PLENTY of balls left, only a few pegs left to go, and accidentally bumped the last orange peg to end the level. If you leave yourself an orange peg near the top of the screen, you eliminate the chance of accidentally bumping it while clearing.

Practice your "Free Ball Skillz." The "Free Ball Skillz" skill shot is when you bounce the ball directly off one peg straight into the bucket. I honestly cannot say enough about this. I saved it for last, because it is seriously the single most important aspect of the "Clear All Pegs" objectives. I would routinely have runs where I had 2-3 balls left and 10-20 pegs remaining. I would just hit each peg, one at a time, bouncing the ball straight into the bucket. I have a few additional pointers for this.

Firstly, always try to take care of the lower and middle (vertically) pegs in the level right out of the gate (before starting your "Free Ball Skillz" spree). The reason for taking out the lower pegs is because your targeting line only extends so far. It's MUCH easier to aim your shot when you can hold your targeter flush against a peg. The reason for taking out the middle pegs is because you want as much room as possible when lining up your shots. You'll see why here in a minute.

Rectangular pegs are, by far, the easiest to do. When aiming at a rectangular peg on the right side of the screen, put your targeter directly against its left side (the opposite when aiming at a peg on the left side of the screen). Because the sides are flat (obviously) the margin for error is gigantic. Just wait for the bucket to pass below, and slightly to the left, and fire. After a couple of these shots, I can promise you that you will catch on quickly.

Circular pegs are more difficult. For these, you always want to bounce the ball across the screen in the biggest arc possible. What I mean by this is if a peg is on the left portion of the screen, you want to bounce it such that the resulting arc makes a rainbow all the way across to the other side and (hopefully) into the bucket when it's directly against the wall. The reason why I prefer this method is that it increases your margin for error significantly. This is due to the fact that, if you over shoot your target (the bucket), it will bounce off the wall and straight in anyway. As such, when aiming your shot, always err on the side of too far, since you have the wall as a buffer. Using this strategy, I am able to make a solid 90-95% of the shots. This is a big deal when you have a bunch of pegs to take out and only a few balls to do it with.

Lastly, note that when you hit 5 of these skill shots in a row, you will get the "Mad Skillz" skill shot, which is worth 25,000 points. Furthermore, if you hit 10 of these in a row, you will get the "Crazy Mad Skillz" skill shot which is worth 100,000 points! This is super useful when trying to get those "Ace" scores on certain levels.

There really isn't a hard and fast way to get this achievement. As I said before, persistence is the key (along with lots of "Free Ball Skillz" practice). I realize that many of you may be stuck on a very specific objective/trial; as such, these generalized pointers might not be very helpful to you. If this is the case, tell me what objective/trial is ailing you, and I will try my very best to give you any additional help I can on that level. I will attach any such help directly to this solution.

If you guys have any other questions or comments at all, please say so in the comments section! I will be happy to assist in any way I can!

Good luck! :-)

Nice guide! I think the worst challenge is the one you have to get two ghost skill shots towards the end

Honestly, I had almost no strategy for that one. The only thing I would suggest is to hit the green pegs early and try to avoid sliding on the middle line of pegs (to keep from removing too many orange pegs). The more orange pegs you have to bounce off of, the better.

Got it right after I commented, the guide is great by the way, only need to get 5 more levels from the celestial realms, I just wished they were easier, freaking 500,000 points on a few of them is not getting me anywhere.

UPDATE:

celestial is now 30/30 probably the most annoying section of them all. I had a lot of trouble with the case of the curious constellation and spider loves square level using gnorman so I switched to jeffrey and did it easier. on the constellation level i cleared the far sides with the boulders and pretty much just kept getting "free ball skillz" to get the ace. It may just come down to luck.

How do you get an off the wall skill? It's in the Peggle Institute or Mountain High I can't remember. I tried hitting the ball off the wall into another but no luck. Guess i'm doing it wrong.

nitrous to get mad skillz you have to get a skill shot 5 times in a row, easiest way of doing this is to bounce the ball off a peg and make it in the bucket, and crazy mad skillz is 10 skill shots in a row. @ATCS off the wall is hitting the ball off the wall and hitting a non blue peg. I can't remember if it has to be a certain distance or not. hope i could help

For Spider Loves Square Ace score, I used Luma, kept one green peg, then cleared all the reds till there was only one left, Activated Luma's ghost power, hit the last peg, and cause blue pegs are then worth so much got 450,000 on my last shot and smashed the ace score

here is my tip to everyone, which literally worked every time for me. If you are having trouble with a level and you know the basic strategy on how you are going to beat it, take a 5-10 break and come back and play it. I seriously beat every level I did this on, on the first try or within the first 15 mins I came back. Very weird. Someone try it and comment back =)

Thank you for the solution, but HUGE thanks to the commenters, especially ALollz for your description of how to best use Luna for massive. I got the last challenge (earn over 500k points) on my first try after reading your comment and I had attempted it about 50+ times prior. I ended up getting 366k on my last shot, with a total score of 671k. Thankies thankies. dance

The final three objectives I have left are:
Celestial 5-ace score of 500 000
Celestial 6-ace score of 500 000
Celestial 9-clear all pegs.
Just looking to know what characters and methods you used to complete the above.

I just got this. The hardest level for me personally was clearing the pegs on the second to last level in celestial realm. (It's mostly vertical columns of rectangular pegs). Just keep at it with the free ball skillz and you'll get it.

I also have to suggest Luna for scoring. I beat almost every scoring challenge with her by leaving a green peg and one orange peg after hitting the rest of the oranges. The reason being is she racks up a ton of points going through the ghost blues which are each worth 100 until you hit the last orange peg and then they're all worth 1000! Plus if you're only going for oranges and even catch some of the balls you shoot, you end the level with a lot of extra balls each worth 10k.

But the last 9 objectives are on Celestial levels (5 6 8 9 10) And I don't know how to clear it ...

This achievement unlocked for me at 179, I completed my last objective and now notice that my count on the site is showing 181. So there definitely is a glitch somewhere.

Also I find Luna far better than Gnorman. You get MASSIVE score if you hit your last orange peg while in ghost mode and catch a few of the ghost pegs on the way.

@dti April. No. I am the only tag on my console. I think its more likely due to the random crashes back to dash. If a crash happens after you've got an objective I reckon the objective registers, but you still have to attain it during the game.

For anyone having trouble with the butterfly level, the best way that I found to do it was to go in as Bjorn and figure out how to slide down the top rows. You can do this by aiming the ball so it hits the wall just barely above the pegs, it should hit and then roll down all of them. You can do it on both sides, and from there the level opens up a bit more. I recommend practicing with Bjorn and his super guide a few times before using a different master (Jeff, Gnorman or Berg) to clear the rest. With those top rows gone you can save yourself a lot of hair pulling and wasted balls.

Also some great tips for some of the harder levels in the comments here. Wouldn't of completed this without them.

You don't have to wait till that last orange peg to hit a lot of points with Luna. I usually start using her green pegs when there are only 4-5 orange pegs left, and then use her ability on the last as well. Besides the bonus points, she's actually increasing the number of pegs you can hit in general. When there are 3 orange pegs left, that's your magic number because the multiplier is at 10X. A lot of crazy things can happen at that point.

I've gotten most of the optional objectives done, but there is one that I can't seem to get for the life of me. Gnorman's Gneighborhood level 7 'Conveyance Belt'. The objective is to get 1 Orange attack style shot. From my understanding this requires getting 15 pegs in one shot, but the setup of the level seems to make this impossible for me. (Or requiring vast amounts of luck, like winning the lottery grade luck)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

@Warlord B0B, I had the same final objective left as you (Gnorman Level 7 Orange Attack Style Shot) and today, after at least 50 tries, I finally made it.

I used Gnorman, hit a green peg and as few orange pegs as possible on the first shot. Then for the second shot I hit most of the oranges on the top "belt" by bouncing the ball a couple of times before hitting the pegs on the lower "belt". You need 15 orange pegs (fill up to the 3X multiplier if you didn't hit any on the first shot) to get a Orange Attack Style Shot.

Restart and repeat after 2nd shot if you don't get enough orange pegs. The last achievement will pop immediately if you're already at 179/180 objectives.

I found Luna to be the best hero for doing the Ace challenges if I didn't naturally get them with mr gnome guy already.
If you just go directly for orange pegs and save the green ones for last when you're at score x10 (or at least x5) you can end with double the required score :p

This just unlocked for me at 196 objectives (I have the DLC). What I would point out is I noticed a few where I had done the Ace score, but it hadn't recorded that as my 'top score' when I was scrolling through the levels. That might be a place to check for a targeted replay if it's not popping for you.

Also, if you do choose to get the DLC, I found Windy useful for Ace scores and Jimmy good for Clearing all pegs. Otherwise I agree with Seripha that Gnorman is almost always the way to go.

I think Luna is actually better than Gnorman for scoring points (sometimes). Her special ability absolutely blows, except for clearing the very last orange peg. If you user her ability on the very last peg, every blue reappears and after hitting the orange peg they are all worth 1000 points.

So if you leave an orange peg near the bottom you can likely hit 7 blues (700 points), then hit the orange (1000 points) and depending upon how lucky you are with bounces off of the bottom edges after clearing another 10 blues (10000 points). So I'd typically end up with a final shot score around 200,000 (12,000 points x 17 pegs) and then plus the bonus bucket, so around 250-400 K with a little luck. Just a thought if there is one really annoying level.

Just curious for the people who say that it is popping with a lower count than actually needed, have any other tags played the game on your console that could perhaps be adding to the count? If so, this is worth investigating, especially if there is a happy glitch that allows you to repeat 'easy' objectives on a seperate tag to avoid the trickier ones on your primary save. I'll try to investigate this today.

There is most definitely a glitch. I FINALLY finished my last objective (Spider Loves Square - "Get Ace Score of 500,000) and nothing happened. I noticed, however, when I completed my 179th objective (Restful Repose - "Get 2 Ghost Touch Style Shots") it showed 179/180 on the main page, but my achievement percentage showed 97% (179/180). Once I completed 180/180 objectives, the achievement percentage now shows 99%. Anyone else having a similar issue. Do I really have to go back and attempt the 2 Ghost Style shots for it to count... that one was the WORST!

Some of the challenges glitched on me even on a brand new save file I started, and I noticed whenever I got a challenge done with the achievement tracker not going up, my new high score on that level wouldn't update either, so maybe it has to do with the servers or smth.

Btw I had 85~ challenges completed before I started my new game, and the tracker for the achievement just kept going from that point without being reset

Anyone having trouble clearing "The Case Of The Curious Constellation", here is a solution to partially clear the map without losing any balls:

Format - Aim direction - Distance of bucket from left to right - Bucket movement direction

01) Right - 1/1 - Turning point
02) Right - 3/4 - Left
03) Right - 1/1 - Turning point
04) Right - 3/4 - Right
05) Left - 1/8 - Right (Tight shot)
06) Left - 1/6 - Left (VERY tight shot)
07) Left - 1/8 - Left

After shot 7 there will be no more possible shots with maximum left or right, so this is as fast as the guide can go.

I would recommend using Gnorman however his electrical shot can mess up the sequence, so use this picture "http://i.imgur.com/wQUjYh2.jpg" to check the unaffected pegs before starting. If all of the remaining pegs (in the pic) include both green pegs in your map (just like in the pic) then you are good to go.

Good luck! :)

Hairy Cabbage's solution gave a good groundwork for the one level so I decided to do similar for celestial mollusc party, not sure how tough of a level it is really but if you use Bjorn with the following guide you should get all 3 goals. Only the few stages are shown but you should have 8+ balls with which to finish the last few pegs, shouldn't be too tough if you got this far :)

C = Straight Down
R = Aim Full Right
L = Aim Full Left

+ = Shoot just a tad early

I tended to use the shell so 1/3s the point of the shell was middle of the bucket and 1/4s the point was at the end of the bucket. 1/2s just use the middle point to judge

Update - My achievement randomly popped while watching a Blu-Ray movie, lol. But here is a tip for those attempting the 2 Ghost Touch Style Shots with Luna - I kept restarting the puzzle until I got one that had the about 4-5 orange pegs at the very bottom row. Then, I began removing orange pegs towards the top that were blocking clear shots to the bottom orange pegs. Once I did that, I hit the green power pegs and aimed for the orange pegs at the bottom (making sure it was aligned to where I would go through about 6-9 blue begs on my way towards the orange), then once it bounced off the orange it would go through another 6-9 blue pegs and bounce off another orange peg and hit another 3-5 pegs on the way down. This worked best for me... hopefully it will help someone. **Also, if you haven't gotten at least 1 Ghost Touch Style Shot from both attempts with the 1st green peg, just start over. Don't waste your time because if you get 1 Ghost Style with the 2nd green peg, you'll be p*ssed when you only have one attempt to get another Ghost Style with the last shot... and you may miss. Just trying to save someone from raging out on this game.

Update: Patch 08/13/14 doesn't void the exploit (Thanks MathGuy42 again), so you can still unlock the achievement with the patch.

Original:
Well, there are awesome guides here with tips on how to complete levels, but I want here to give an alternative, avoiding the hard levels.

You can complete the same objective over and over and have it counts toward the achievement. The trick is that the objective must be completed before ending the level.

If you meet the requirements of the level and exit it (by choosing menu > exit). You'll see it completed in the level choice screen. Now, if you dashboard, quit peggle (menu > quit app) and restart you see it is not completed anymore, but it counted for the achievement (you can check on the achievement progress app). Then you can complete it again, exit, dashboard, etc.. several times.

As a matter of fact, you could complete the same objective 180 times and unlock the achievement, although I wouldn't recommend it.

So, my advice is to save an easy objective for later and when you feel the objectives are too hard, simply complete it over and over using this guide.

That's why people are reporting to unlock the achievement before 180 objectives, they must have exited in the middle of some level after completing an objective.

Viafix, you must kill the game after exiting the level. And yes, the objective counter should always have the same value. You can only see if it is working using the achievements app.

Can I do this with an objective I've already completed?

I have 165/180 and have been stuck on this for about a month.

I doubt I'd be able to complete the same objective 15 times from the ones I have left.

Thanks in advance, although I feel a "no" coming along.

Yessir, I don't think so, if you don't have one of the easiest anymore, you should try to ace a level without finishing it, and see if it works also.

I must be doing something wrong. I'm at 92 optional objectives. I am doing the first level in the gravely grove, where there's a pretty easy objective for getting an extreme slide shot. I do it, I pause the game and go to Exit, it says I am now at 93 optional objectives, I hit the home button, then I hit start on my controller so the menu that says "Pin to home", "Game Details" and "Quit" etc... shows up and I select quit. I start Peggle up again and it says I'm back at 92 objectives completed and the objective I did (Level 1 in Gravely Grove, Extreme Slide shot) is not completed (which is a good thing that it says I didn't complete it but it didn't count towards my optional objective count).

Ok nevermind I'm just an idiot. I read the other comments hear more carefully and didn't realize that the only place that that your progress is tracked is in the percentage of it in the Achievement tracker in the Achievement App. Complete misunderstanding. It is working for me. My progress just went from 77% to 78% after doing it again.

By DwightKxSchrute on 05 Mar 2014 22:56
Yes, the only thing that "works" is the achievement progress tracker, which is a good sign the exploit is working
0

By AP E JC on 05 Mar 2014 23:03
Yeah I don't like doing this, it's annoying quitting the game and starting it up over and over again but if I got the 90 objective when I got my 91st objective, then I don't want to do all 180 objectives, only to have the achievement not unlock and not have anymore objectives to do.

I was at 14x and only had ace scores and clear all pegs left. I deleted the save game off my HDD, and restarted the game up. It said it was going to sync save, and I clicked on cancel. Now I can play though again and every objective I get adds to my achievement counter. So if you got too far before seeing this, you can just restart and only have a few to do.

Level 1-4 is the best level to do this, if you still have the objective available. The miscellaneous challenge objective can be completed in seconds. Load the game, single player, World 1, Level 4, any master, tap left on the D-pad 6 or 7 times until you create a bank off of a peg, then time your shot to land in the bucket. 1 Free Ball Skillz shot achieved. Challenge completed in seconds. Rinse and repeat.

Looks like I have to do this from now on. I just hit 90 optional objectives and the cheevo didn't pop. Did one more for a total of 91 and then the achievement popped. Did some reading and people have had the same issue and have no fix for it. I'm assuming if (or when) I complete the final objective for the full 180 the achievement will not pop and I will not be able to complete anymore optional objectives.

I just tested it, and as far as I can tell by already having the achievement, the exploit is still working. I finished an objective midlevel, exit level, kill the game and it is not showing as completed. If someone can confirm, if the achievement progress tracker is still increasing, i would be happy to share.

By AP E JC on 04 Mar 2014 14:31
Yes, I think this solution is specially useful to people that have the in-game counter bigger than the achievement one. If you're in this case and don't have more objectives to complete, I'd recommend erasing everything and try over.

By AP E JC on 19 Mar 2014 20:33
So I've done 77 challenges "legit" (it says 77/180 in-game) and I unlocked the 90 ones yesterday because I started getting a few this way to have better chances of completing this if I encounter really hard ones later. But now the percentage for 120 objectives is only at 30% which is less than 40 completed!? It can't be counting from 90 to 120 as well because it only increases one point for each objective and 150 and 180 show less than 40 completed accordingly. So all this does is being a negative bug after all? ;) Now I need to complete more objectives than I am able to lol

By MathGuy42 on 14 Aug 2014 17:49
I'm not sure. The achievement app doesn't work while offline, so I wouldn't risk it now, that it is working online. Is there a reason why you want to do this offline?
0
0
By AP E JC on 18 Aug 2014 10:06
It may be a reference to this solution, which should also still work. While you can't unlock an achievement offline, progress is still tracked. When you go back online, you'll see a percentage increase or an unlocked achievement if you hit 100%. (Assuming you don't experience the glitch of reaching 100% and yet not getting an unlock, which can happen in any game, online or offline.)

To merge the two ideas, you could try this:
1. Leave several easy objectives. Let's say 10.
2. Quit Peggle 2.
3. Delete Local Save only.
4. Disconnect Internet. (This can be done in Settings. No physical disconnect required.)
5. Start Peggle 2.
6. Play the 10 easy objectives.
7. Quit Peggle 2.
8. Reconnect Internet. You should see progress on your counters.
9. Start Peggle 2.
10. While syncing saves, choose the Cloud Save. Those 10 objectives should now be uncompleted again.
11. Go to Step 2.

My brief solution to obtaining this achievement and 100% the game.

Clearing all Pegs I found Gnorman to be very efficient in taking out a vast majority of the pegs in each stage due to his uber volt ability (take note that its one shot). If for some reason Gnorman doesn't seem like the one that is the most suitable for the current stage then pick Berg as he is just as good and able to take out multiple round pegs if they are hitting each other with his special ability, deep freeze (which activates when a green peg is taken out and will last until the end of the next turn). It's all about trial and error, find out the angles and learn how to take one peg out at a time and get it into the free ball tube. Also make sure you stay away from the last orange peg as you don't want to accidentally hit and have to start all over. Trust me it happens a lot.

Getting the Ace score. I didn't even realize this method until I came across this in the end. I thought Luna was a useless character meant to rack up some points with her ability but no she is broken lol what you have to do is in each stage that you are having difficulty getting the top score in, is that you have to take out all of the orange pegs first while leaving 1 orange peg remaining. Also make sure you have 1 green peg available for access to Luna's broken ability. When you are at this point of the stage the point multiplier is set at 10 and taking out the orange peg with her special gives the ball the opportunity to take out each individual shadow peg that your ball runs through, after the final orange peg is hit. This will give you 1000 points for each shadow peg hit plus it being the final shot you will just be overloaded with points for an easy clear on the ace score.

3rd objective is usually very simple and doesn't require much effort.

The video below is an example of what Luna can do with getting the ace score. Its just an example of how she racks up points.

The final three objectives I have left are:
Celestial 5-ace score of 500 000
Celestial 6-ace score of 500 000
Celestial 9-clear all pegs.
Just looking to know what characters and methods you used to complete the above.

I wish I had thought of this when I did the game laugh. I spent like 30 minutes per stage getting free ball skillz all the way to the ace score on the hardest celestial ones.

Wow, thanks for the Luna tip! Was finally able to get my last ace score on Spider Loves Square. Now if only I could clear all pegs on Fancy Pansty Hat.

Celestial 9 was the last stage I did. What you want to do is pick Berg. Keep restarting the mission until you see a green peg that is on the round pegs at the top of the stage once u take out all the round pegs go one by one with free ball shotz the rest. Its very tedious however you will get the hang of it. Its all about timing and knowing where the ball will land. If you need to take it one step at a time. focus on the center then go out.
Celestial 5 and 6 I used gnorman for the ace score however i got lucky as i was trying to clear all the pegs and instead got the ace score. What you can do is use Luna if you want to keep it simple. Keep an orange peg near the bottom of the stage available as well as an easy to reach green peg. angle the shot just right when her special is activated and you should get loads of points remember your goal is to get all the orange pegs out first don't focus on the blue pegs as they don't offer much.
Alt. method for celestial 5. focus on the left and right half circles first then go to the center when you seem low on balls to get an extreme slide or just an extra free ball or 2 because by the time you do that the multiplier would be a bit higher giving you a good amount of points.

It's actually hilarious how broken luna is. I was one of those people who thought she was useless when I first started using her. Then I just happened to have one orange peg and one green left at the end of a level, along with several blue pegs. I hit the green. My final shot was over 1.3 million. She's so broken.

Luna is a lousy option. The success rate of this is astronomically small. Setting this up is time consuming and chances are you are going to accidentally hit both green pegs before you get down to one or two orange pegs. Even when I did manage to set this up, I didn't get enough points to get the Ace score (except on one level). My ball would either bounce right into the bucket or would only go through a few blue pegs, not near enough to give you the Ace score. Basically, setting this up requires a lot of skill and if you have a lot of skill, you don't need to use this method.

I found myself stuck with a few objectives in the end I thought I would never complete. While Seripha's tips helped tremendously, I still thought I would never finish. Peggle has a way of making you want to....well, I am sure you have played it. However, I found that if you delete your game save data, your achievement progress does not clear as well. My achievement unlocked as I was replaying and obtaining objectives the second time through.

To delete your game save data, highlight the Peggle 2 app and click the Menu/Start button on your controller and select manage game. You should see a list of gamertags with save data to the far right. Select whichever gamertag is going for the achievement and delete save data. I first chose "delete from console" and opted out of the sync when starting the game but it still loaded my past objectives, so I ended up choosing "delete from everything."

Here is an easy way to complete all challenges. It just takes some time to complete. This works for all challenges, including the dlc. I hope this helped.

Welcome to my unnecessarily long, long past its sell by date slight modification of the perfectly serviceable guides above.

It's possible to streamline the process, so for anyone needing 30 plus challenges, it will actually make a reasonable difference in time required, and there is no need to lose you hard earned save data either. This explanation is longer than perhaps it needs to be, the detail is there for clarity. I can promise you this is the quickest way to work through your remaining challenges. This description will take much longer to read than the process itself once you get going. You'll be clocking up to and above the dizzying heights of around 1 challenge per minute with this method.

1 - The first step is to ensure you are online and that your game is synced to the cloud. Now close the game. Then disconnect your internet via ' Network' in Settings. Next, delete your Peggle 2 save data via the 'Manage Game and Ad ons' option accessible by pressing start on the Peggle 2 Icon.

2 - Now load up the game and create a new save file. DO NOT EVER SELECT CLOUD DATA, and aside from this first time where you will create a new save file, DO NOT EVER SELECT CONSOLE DATA - ALWAYS PRESS A ON CANCEL. Do not worry whenever 'Syncing data' pops up, as long as you do not manually chose a save file each subsequent time you load, your old save is safe on the cloud.

3 - On your shiny new save file, play through until the the end of the first stage. Then close the game again and reestablish your XBL connection.

4 - Once you're back online, firstly go into your achievements and put the tracker on for the 240 challenges achievement. This means you can see exactly when the progress has been tracked and instantly back out of the game, if you're doing a lot of challenges it will save you a lot of time. Now relaunch the game and PRESS CANCEL when asked to chose a save file.

5 - Now play through until the 4th Stage of the Peggle Institute. This level has the easiest and quickest challenge in the game: 'Get 1 Free Ball Skillz Style Shot'.

(There is a group of 4 Pegs at the bottom directly beneath your phallic device. Carefully use the D-Pad to target the second ball from the bottom, on the left side of this group of four - so the top left peg of the 4. You want to hit it on the very edge, anything else won't work. Wait for the Bowl (actual Peggle terminology is beyond my remit) to approach and time the shot so that it goes in off the peg via a glancing touch, without touching anything else. Once will be enough to get the timing down).

6 - As soon as you pull the shot off watch the tracker. The instant the tracker moves, hit the guide button, press down twice, press start on Peggle 2, press quit, as soon as the dashboard pops up press 'A'.

7 - When the game loads Select 'Cancel', ignore the sync, and repeat from Step 5 until you have the achievement.

8 - When you pop your achievement, close the game and then relaunch it, chose your Cloud Save data, and you have your old records back again.

I'm sure this is all obvious, but not everyone is confident navigating menus, and if I save one person 15 minutes with the 10 minutes I took to write this, then humanity is up by 1/12th of a man hour. Job done.

Fun tip, the DLC maps have 30 Optional Objectives each; so 60 in total. These count towards the 180 for the trophy. So don't waste too much time on any one you're having trouble with.

This will be the most likely the most difficult trophy in the game as it requires you to pull of all optional objectives across all the 6 non DLC levels. However with the added addition of the Windy the Fairy Master Pack and Jimmy Lightning Master Pack DLC you can have up to 60 more optional objectives to achieve which gives you a total of 240 optional objectives in total. This means you don't have to get all 180 main game optional objectives making the trophy much easier.

Each level has 3 optional objectives where one is always for clearing all pegs and one for achieving an Ace/High score. The remaining challenge are the miscellaneous objectives which can range from pulling of X amount of a certain skill shot, winning with X amount of balls left or scoring X amount in one shot. These are all relatively easy to obtain if you pick the right character and you don't need to finish the level to save them meaning once you achieve the optional objective you can quit out and it will be saved.

Some general tips for the objectives are:

  • Many of the Skillz Shots are easy to perform with Bjorn as his ability lets you see where the ball will go.
  • For objectives where you have to win with X amount of balls level, Jimmy is the best due to his multiball ability
  • For obtaining high scores characters such as Luna and the DLC characters Jimmy and Windy are the best
  • Also when going for high scores, try and clear most of the orange pegs first to get the 10X multiplier bonus.
  • For clearing all pegs Jimmy is the best due to his multiball ability and Gnorman would the next best alternative.

These are just some general tips but for a more in-depth guide, see the forum side Guide (posts 5-8): LINK

Note: See the Roadmap for a list of Skillz Shots and character abilities.

The longest and most difficult trophy. In total, the game has 180 additional goals for 60 levels, that is, in each level you need to complete all three goals. I advise you to take the DLS with two additional heroes and an additional 20 levels, this will make the task much easier. Since there will already be 240 goals, it will be easier to do 180.
