How to unlock the The Deer Hunter achievement in Pentiment - Definitive Guide

Later in Act 2 you can talk to the owner of the windmill in his house.
Agree to go hunting with him and when you made it to the top of the mountain and are told to shoot, dont just shoot right away but aim up slightly so you dont just hit the deer in the foot. If you fail quit the game and you can replay the section until you get it right.

Didn't pop for me. I wonder if there's a specific spot you need to hit? I hit it in the chest.

IT didnt Pop for me when i Hit it in the foot only after i Hit it right in the face. Just AIM Up very slightly

There was a update today and I hit the deer in the leg and got the achievement

Follow the leader to the Mill with Lenhardt and accept his offer to go hunting. Shoot the deer - aim slightly upward to hit it. If you miss, you can exit and restart the game.
