007craft's walkthroughs are good. I've also found NextGen Walkthrough's videos by Beer Baron (done on Dark Agent difficulty) very helpful in getting through the levels on Perfect Agent: http://nextgenwalkthroughs.com/perfect-dark-zero

It's certainly unforgiving.

From my run through all those years ago I seem to remember the level where you have to find the scientist in the lab is a little annoying as the spawn locations are random and the Perfect Difficulty version seems to prefer a slightly different spawn point to the one in the Dark agent version in the video.

[Stating the obvious alert!]
The biggest tip is probably to try and treat it like a stealth game, not the FPS is regularly sets itself up as.

How does one access Dark Agent difficulty before Perfect Agent difficulty? Nobody seems to want to divulge that detail, though supposedly they stack.

As far as I know you have to finish Perfect Agent to unlock Dark.

It's no help with this achievement but I do believe that you can do Co-op Dark Agent as long as you join somebody else that has unlocked it...it's been about 5 years since I played though so don't quote me on it :-)

Xebu is correct, so your better chances are that you join a game on Co-op and on Dark Agent for unlocking everything just once.

I seem to recall that playing Dark Agent in Co-Op before you unlocked it by beating Perfect Agent only gave your partner credit for beating the mission, so you really need to beat Perfect in solo or co-op first.

you can easily check that by playing one of the easy missions and seeing if you have all four stars after beating it.

Just wanted to confirm that you must complete Perfect Agent to unlock Dark Agent difficulty. This may either be Single Player or Co-op Perfect Agent and you unlock Dark Agent for both modes.

You cannot get credit for Dark Op level completions without already unlocking the difficulty yourself.

The most efficient method is to complete Co-Op Perfect Agent and then do 2 more playthroughs on Dark Agent (one single player, one co-op).

Perfect Agent is tough. You're going to need a lot of determination to finish the game on Perfect Agent. Refer to "Completed Single Dark Agent" for tips.

There is a checkpoint in five of the missions on Perfect Agent difficulty. The location of the checkpoints are as follows:

Datacore Demolition:
Just after you blow the CPU core with the CamSpy and the cutscene ends, you'll pass the checkpoint.
Subway Retrieval:
Grab Zeigler's briefcase in the safehouse and you'll clear the checkpoint.
Rooftops Escape:
You'll pass the checkpoint upon reaching the final battle against Killian's Dropship at the docks.
Mansion Infiltration:
Upon reaching the deathmatch fight against Mai Hem you will be given a checkpoint.
Outpost Rescue:
Reach the final battle against Mai Hem to pass the checkpoint.

Complete all 14 missions on Perfect Agent, (or a higher difficulty) in single player, to unlock this achievement.
