How to unlock the Reaper Reaped achievement in Persona 3 Reload - Definitive Guide
Alternatively you can just turn the difficulty down to peaceful and hammer away at him.
Also don't expect an easy win just because you set the difficulty to peaceful - I tried fighting him at level 27 and barely did any damage in five mins, would probably take over an hour to beat at a low level. Worth leveling up for instead.
Good news, folks. The Reaper boss fight in Persona 3 Reload is more akin to Persona 5 Royal’s Reaper boss fight than it is to Persona 3 Portable’s (which was bloody tricky).
That's not to say it's easy - it's not - but it relies less on luck and preparation than it was way back when. The key aspects are:
- Make sure you're at least level 80 before attempting this boss fight - the higher the level, the better.
- Have a healer (Yukari) with Amrita Shower.
- Have all your Theurgy gauges maxed.
- Have Ambush ready to unleash.
- Pop Sylphid Aura before you go into battle.
So, in order to get the Reaper to spawn, just stay still (or on the same floor) for around 4 minutes. You'll get a heads-up from Fuuka before it spawns as well as when it spawns too.
When it spawns, bolt straight for it, using the aforementioned Ambush attack (to guarantee you the first move and advantage in the fight), which is when you want to pop all 5 Theurgy attacks (with Fuuka going first to bolster your party).
In terms of the Reaper itself, it has no weaknesses or resistances, has a good 20,000 plus health, and will most certainly attack your party weaknesses. On top of that, it's going to inflict Fear (which can make party members run away if you don't deal with it) as well as Confusion (which will waste your turns).
If you defeat the Reaper, you'll not only get the Bloody Button (which is for one of Persona 3 Reload Elizabeth requests) but you'll also get a whopping 400,000+ XP as well as the ‘Reaper Reaped’ achievement.
If you need more assistance, we've prepared a more in-depth guide for that to assist further:
The Reaper appears if you stay on the floor in Tartarus for a long time (5-10 minutes).
on minimum difficulty you can kill it right away, but firstly it will take up to several hours of real time, and secondly it will kill interest in passing, as it will give a strong pumping.
I also recommend taking the experience boost as a reward and, as a result, get 550k+ experience points; I was immediately transferred from level 56 to level 87.
