How to unlock the A Sense of Finality achievement in Persona 3 Reload - Definitive Guide
Story-related, cannot miss.
On Tuesday 3rd November, you’ll enter the eighth and final Full Moon event. This time you’ll be heading to the Moonlight Bridge to take down the final Shadow, but of course, you need to get past Strega first.
For the Strega fight, focus your attention on Jin first, as he’s the weaker of the two to take down, and will stop their coordinated attacks. As long as you’re around a level 55 here, they shouldn’t pose you too much of an issue.
The key to defeating the Hanged Man itself, is to take down the Statues first, which allows you to attack the main Shadow. Because of the Shift function, this fight is a hell of a lot easier than in Persona 3 Portable. Each of the Statues has a weakness: one is weak to pierce, another is weak to electricity and the last one is weak to ice. Hit their weakness, All-Out Attack, and then rinse and repeat until you’ve taken out all 3.
When the Hanged Man is down, go on the offensive - if you have Theurgy attacks, this is the time to use them. The Hanged Man has no weaknesses, but it does repel dark, has resistance to strike damage and nullifies fire, so don’t use them. After a few rounds with the Hanged Man, he’ll summon more Statues whose resistances change (one was weak to wind, another strike and the last one fire for us in the second round). This process repeats until the Hanged Man is nearly dead, basically, with the resistances changing for the Statues on every new summon.
A few things to note:
When his health drops below a certain point, he’ll then cast a spell to give him more actions per turn (Grim Transcendance).
If he concentrates, get everyone to Guard.
When his health gets even lower, he’ll summon one statue, who is infinitely more powerful than the other 3 combined. This Statue is resistant to everything, so try and inflict Freeze or Shock, to get a crit on your next turn - there is a slim chance of this happening, to be fair, so just try to whittle down its health bar otherwise. The Statue will spam Megidola, so just have Yukari (or your healer) on healing duty every turn. Don’t give into the temptation to use any Theurgy attacks here. Save them for the Hanged Man itself.
And finally, if he casts Tetrakan and Provoke, cure the person with Rage before their turn, otherwise they’re a goner.
And that’s it. Beat the Hanged Man and the ‘A Sense of Finality’ achievement is all yours.
