How to unlock the Card Collector achievement in Persona 4 Golden - Definitive Guide
For this achievement, you have to give 100 different skill cards to Marie in the Velvet room.
There are Two ways to Obtain Skill Cards in Persona 4 Golden
#1 is obtaining them through Shuffle times. these are described as "Sword cards" and will have swords on them. The skill you get from these will be random and are separated in different ranks. The ranks will depend on which Dungeon you are in, and each will be random
#2 requires you to be in June or later. Once you've obtained your Scooter license, you'll need to drive around 3 times before you Unlocked Okina City to explore. Then you'll need to enter Chagall Cafe on the far left and drink their coffee. You'll then obtain a skill card depending on which Persona you have equipped at the time.
There are over 200 Skill cards that can be obtained. Any skill card you register in your first playthrough will carry over to the 2nd. You'll most likely obtain this in your second playthrough as its best to go to the cafe when it's raining since you can't do most social links in the rain.

I used that list to check which ones I had. I spent two weeks in the cafe and only got one new skill card because the game doesn't tell you if you already have the card that you can get from a Persona.

I was just wondering, if it's possible to do a NG++, and carry over the skill cards. I am in february and I have about 85 cards. I'm unsure if I should just farm for skill cards in the last dungeons, or if I can just do a new playthrough, rush til i unlock the cafe, and then just focus on that

One of the new mechanics in Persona 4 Golden is registering Skill Cards. Skill Cards are nothing new in Persona, and played a big part in Persona 3, but whenever you started New Game Plus in P3P, you lost everything.
Registering Skill Cards in Persona 4 Golden is a way to get around that. It does mean that you have to donate your Skill Cards to Marie in the Velvet Room, but after that point you can then buy the card for a set yen price. All you need to do for this and A Favor for Marie (10G) is register Skill Cards when you get them from the Shuffle Time screen after a battle.
If you need to grind Skill Cards, the quickest and best way is to enter battles you're overpowered in, and then make sure you end of an All-Out Attack. That will ensure the Shuffle Time, then you can grab a Skill Card if there is one. Remember, there are levels to the Skill Cards though, so you'll have to move through the dungeons towards the harder ones, after you've exhausted the lower level ones.

If you're struggling come the end of your second playthrough, the Chagall Cafe in Okina City lets you earn Skill Cards when you visit its establishment, based on the Skill Card icon of the Persona you have equipped. You should ideally be doing this at the end of your first playthrough, after you've maxed out your social skills, got Hardcore Risette Fan (10G) and Compulsive Reader (10G), as you'll have a load of free time.
