How to unlock the Thorough Bookkeeper achievement in Persona 4 Golden - Definitive Guide
This sounds daunting, but its not that bad actually. Best to use a fusion calculator that you can filter by arcana or level to help you go in order. Here's the link to the fusion calculator: https://arantius.github.io/persona-fusion-calculator/4golden...
If you're a masochist and want to figure it out mostly yourself, I would actually recommend taking a look at this chart that can help give you a deeper understanding in what you're trying to produce. It was pretty handy for me so I hope this may provide use for someone as well: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/vita/641695-persona-4-golden/m...
Some additional info that may be helpful:
Probably dont have to state this lol but if you want more money/exp, switch to very easy. To get every single persona, you have to be at least level 93 so any difficulty higher you are just asking for unnecessary tedium going for this achievement
If you get a persona during the shuffle time, you do NOT have to go back into the Velvet room to register into the compendium. If the persona is in your inventory you're fine.
Only 1 persona in the game does not count for the compendium (Izanagi-No-Okami, which is its own separate achievement anyway and is in ng+ after getting the true ending from 1st playthrough). Every other persona is apart of the compendium. Though there are personas that are not ??? and actually are completely hidden behind maxing out your social links arcanas, such as Alice* (Death) and Odin* (Emperor). Some Maxed out social links are also used as fusions (To make Ardha: Shiva*+Parvati as 1 example) So if you're confused and stuck in the 90+%'s thats probably why. Filtering the fusion calculator to arcana is a lifesaver
And finally, I wouldn't worry about this achievement until NG+ because unless you are following a day-to-day guide, you are likely not getting every social link maxed on the 1st playthrough anyway. Any registered Personas from the compendium and money from the 1st playthrough do get transferred over to NG+. You can also resummon any Persona registered in the Compendium as long as you have the money, it doesn't matter the level you are. Be aware you aren't able to fuse any personas higher level than you.

*MISSABLE*
This one, as it has done in Persona 3 Portable and Persona 5 (vanilla, not Royal), is going to take an incredible amount of time (and money). Persona 4 Golden boasts 179 different Personas that you need to collect.
Persona 4 Golden does, however, make things a little easier than, say, Persona 3 Portable, with small additions like adding “New” to cards in the post-battle mini-game, as well as marking cards as collected/new in the Persona fusion screen. That makes this a hell of a lot easier than it was in P3P. Thankfully!
As there always is, there are multiple ways that you create Personas, and certain ways to unlock the fusion of certain Personas. Here’s where and how you can get all of them:

- Fusion - Just fusing 2 or 3 (or more) Personas together at the Velvet Room. This is how you’ll make the vast majority of the Personas in the Compendium.
- From Shuffle Time - This is a good way to get a large base of Personas to do fusions with. Whenever it says “New” on a Persona card, try and get it as soon as possible.
- From Completing Social Links - Every single Social Link’s max rank has a special Persona to fuse. Complete all 22 and you’ll be able to fuse all 22 of these special, ultimate Personas.
- Completing All Social Links - Once you’ve completed all 22 Social Links, you can fuse Izanaghi-no-Okami.
