The lottery stand is found in Shibuya Station Square, just to the right of where you normally enter the location from fast travel. There are three types of lottery.

1. Mammoth Lottery, the result being available seven days after you buy a ticket.
2. Scratch Lottery., available daily with instant results.
3. Summer Mammoth Lottery, replacing the normal Mammoth Lottery in the month of July, the results available 8/22.

The only type of lottery which unlocks the achievement is the first one, the Mammoth Lottery. You can buy a ticket for this from the left and center kiosk (it doesn't matter which one), while the right one is for scratch and win tickets.

You should start buying lottery tickets.as soon as they become available, since the outcome is random. Each ticket costs ¥3,000.

From July 1st to July 31st, you cannot buy a ticket for the normal lottery, but instead the Summer Mammoth Lottery. Winning this will not unlock the achievement.. If you buy this lottery ticket, it will be drawn on 8/22.

After buying your ticket for the Mammoth Lottery, you must return to the booth after seven days to see the result. You may want to note down a reminder for the day, because the game doesn't remind you.

You cannot realistically save scum this, because whether you win or lose is determined when the ticket is bought, rather than when you return to see if you win. If you wanted to save scum, you would have to return to a save before you bought the ticket, and have to repeat seven days of gameplay.

There are three methods I haven't confirmed that I have seen floating around that are said to increase the likelihood of winning:

1. The first lottery ticket you buy may be more likely to win, so make sure the first lottery ticket you buy is for the normal Mammoth Lottery.
2. If you play the lottery early in the game, you are more likely to win.
3. The higher the luck stat on the equipped Persona when you buy the ticket, the more likely you are to win.

Before starting with the guide, I would like to mention that you should try unlocking this achievement as soon as possible, as your odds are higher during the first in-game days and during your first try.
Now let's begin:
In order to unlock this achievement, you need to get to the lottery stand;
The stand can be found in Shibuya at Station Square. All you need to do is buy a lottery ticket and win.
Important things to take into account:
-The lottery stand is not open at all times, if you visit the stand and it's closed come back later.
-There might be different types of tickets with different prices, any ticket works, the most common ones cost 3,000 yen.
-The results of the lottery are announced 7 in-game days later after purchasing the ticket, you must go back to the stand so they tell you if you won or not.
-Despite having to wait 7 days, the winning number is decided upon purchasing the ticket, saving and reloading will NOT change your result.
-This achievement received several reports of it being buggy in the Plasystation versions of this game, if you do win the lottery but the achievement doesn't unlock you might have to try again.

To unlock this Achievement is very similar to winning in the Casino in Persona 2: Innocent Sin. All you need is a Persona with a very high Luck stat (Maria has a base Luck of 61, the highest base Luck in the game.)

Step 0: Have access to Fusion Alarms, Gallows, have reached Chariot Rank 7 and have reached Fortune rank 8 for Celestial Alarms.
Step 1: Raise a Celestial Alarm
Step 2: Go into Mementos, and ram Morgana into low-level Shadows to instantly kill them and get two low-level Personas.
Step 3: Go into the Velvet Room and fuse those two low-level Personas. Then, use the fusion in a Gallows sacrifice (ensure that you use it to strengthen the Persona you want to use, not the other way around)
Step 4: Rinse and repeat until your chosen Persona's Luck stat is at 99.
Step 5: Equip the Persona and buy a Mammoth lottery ticket. (REMEMBER OR WRITE DOWN THE DATE YOU NEED TO CHECK THE NUMBERS)
Step 6: Go do something else until your lottery ticket is ready to be checked.
Step 7: If you won, good job! If you lost, buy another and wait another week. You'll have a good enough payroll from Palaces, so it's not too much of an expense.
