How to unlock the Pure Perfection achievement in Persona 5 Royal - Definitive Guide

This should be possible to get by around mid november. Keep in mind that some confidants also allow you to raise certain stats as you progress them so it's not like you need to explicitly neglect them to achieve this. I would advise getting the speed reading trait ASAP (There's a book that unlocks at the school library you can read to double how fast you complete books) and read at Le Blanc on otherwise quiet evenings. While there are various activities always available to raise any attribute, books can be the most rewarding if you knock them out in one night (if a book has 3 parts to complete, save the third for a train ride or in-class reading).

Is it possible to get this without a guide?

Emperor, I'd say it's unlikely. There should be an option for stat raising during every time period in one form or another but that would mean missing out on optimal social link stuff.

Save watching DVDs and movies until after you read the book "Cinema Treasures." This will get you one extra social note per viewing. The book becomes available at the book store on Central Street sometime in July (I did not notice when it first appeared.)

I found Kindness the hardest to level imo, and partly because I didn't know you could give stuff to the plant in your room until September...give it the best stuff to get the most kindness points from it, you can give it nutrients every two weeks or so. Doesn't advance time.

Every Sunday there is a drink sold in the train station underpath that costs 5000Y, it advances stats without taking up time.

Crossword puzzles advance knowledge without taking up time too, answers are available online.

I was able to get this in a fresh save file. The key to getting it reasonably quickly is first to get, as OP said, the Speed Reading book. The second is to get the "Game Secrets" book from the Shinjuku bookstore. The third, which will require you to pony up 100k, is to unlock Chihaya's (Fortune) confidant chain; at level 1 you can pay 5k to boost a stat gain temporarily daily. I'm in the middle of clearing the ending for the 6th Palace and have all stats at max. Ideally, before you go do something, you go visit Chihaya, pay 5k, and get boosted stat boosts. Guts was by far the worst to raise due to the limited amount of activities (and time of day it can be accessed) as opposed to the other stats which have jobs, social link activities (like going to Darts/Pool) both during the day and at night. I'd recommend days after returning from a Palace or Mementos (depending on if you have Temperance Rank 10, which is a godsend for PM stats, jobs, or social links) playing one of the retro games, reading, or watching a DVD ideally visiting Chihaya before you go delving. Utilizing your downtime when you're not allowed to do other things is key (IE, Sojiro won't let you out in the early game and Morgana won't let you leave because you were dungeon crawling that day); though there are a few hard-coded story moments which will prevent you from going out which forces indoor downtime which can be utilized. If you do unlock Third Semester, you do have extra time to boost your stats before you have to go to NG+ to continue where you left off.

*MISSABLE*

This is one of the most easily missable achievements in the game. Pretty much everything you do in the game will reward some kind of bonus to one of your five social stats: Knowledge, Guts, Charm, Kindness, and Proficiency. Because there are so many different activities to try, and each of them will move time along, it's hard to balance each stat without a ton of knowledge on what bonus the activity will reward, and if it will progress you to the next part of the day or even to the next full day. This is the main reason I've suggested to follow one of the guides in the Road Map.

If you do choose to play the game blindly, you can continue to work on this during a NG+ run, as all your social stat progress will carry over from a completed game save file. Then you'll have a better idea of what activities to do, and what rewards you will get from them to finish up.

*MISSABLE*

This trophy involves maximizing all of your social parameters in the game: Knowledge, Guts, Charm, Kindness and Proficiency. This is one of the few trophies you'll have to consistently work towards from the outset and throughout your whole playthrough, as building your stats takes up most of your time that isn't building your Confidants or exploring dungeons.

In short, there are many ways of increasing each stat. Reading books, playing games, and watching DVDs all contribute to different stats depending on the individual item used. Some activities focus on a single stat, such as batting cages for Proficiency or sweeping up Leblanc for Kindness. Notably, video games and DVDs give you points each time you spend time with them, whereas books only give points when you finish the last page of the book (usually this takes multiple free time sessions).

You can obtain a book called Speed Reading, which allows you to read two pages of a book in a free time session time rather than just one. You can get it from Jinbocho after reading all other books from there, or from Shujin library after 7/1 on the true ending path.

There is also another book called Factorization Study Method, which adds an additional point whenever you read a book that increases Knowledge. You can obtain it from Sakai in Kichijoji (man with sunglasses and face mask) by trading an MRE Ration to him. This item is available from 7/26 to 7/30 only.

Each stat takes less time or more time to level up based on the availability of opportunities to increase those stats. For example, Knowledge requires the highest amount of points to maximize, because getting class answers correct will always give a point and studying is one of the most efficient stat raising methods of spending time there is. Inversely, Proficiency requires the fewest points as there are relatively few opportunities to raise this stat, largely limited to batting cages or crafting infiltration tools.

Fortune Confidant Rank 1 unlocks Luck Reading, which is useful for boosting stats. Before partaking in an activity that would raise a social stat, locate Chihaya Mifune in Shinjuku during either day or night and ask for a luck reading for the stat that activity will raise. With a luck reading you will get an additional point of a raised stat alongside the normal amount of points for that stat. For example, spending a long time and hitting many balls at the batting cages will yield four proficiency points rather than just three.

The trophy will unlock as soon as you achieve rank 5 for every social stat. Your last will likely be Kindness due to the availability of activities that raise Kindness. It is likely you will earn the trophy around December of your first playthrough. Also, if you miss this trophy during your first playthrough, then you will be able to carry over progress to new game plus, so this trophy is not outright missable in the traditional sense.

Below is a list detailing the required points to rank up each stat to the maximum, five ranks for each total.

Knowledge: 0, 34, 82, 126, 192
Charm: 0, 6, 52, 92, 132
Kindness: 0, 14, 47, 94, 136
Guts: 0, 11, 38, 68, 113
Proficiency: 0, 12, 34, 60, 87
