How to unlock the Trash Into Treasure achievement in Persona 5 Royal - Definitive Guide

You acquire "sooty" clothes from chests and enemies. You can either wash them in the laundry across from LeBlanc, but for the purposes of this achievement you must instead hold on to the useless armor.

Once you unlock Kichijoji at the start of June, you can trade the unwashed armor at the clothing store there. After selling at least one item there, the achievement will unlock.

You must wait for the conclusion of the second palace's story for Kichijoji to unlock. After the villain confesses, you will have a cutscene with Ryuji which will put the new destination on your map.

This store can be found in Kichijoji. It is literally just a resale shop, so as long as you have an item of clothing you are not wearing, you can sell it here to unlock the achievement.

*MISSABLE*

Furugi no Neuchi is one of the new stores in Kichijoji, Persona 5 Royal's new location. After unlocking Kichijoji on 6/5, you can access the store, which is pretty close to the entrance of the town.

This trophy involves selling Sooty clothes at the store for the first time. The store is unique in that you don't buy clothes there at all, you only sell items. Sooty clothes can be found in dungeons and can't be purchased at stores by themselves. They can be washed at the coin-operated laundry in Yongenjaya, across the road from Leblanc, however they can be sold to Furugi no Neuchi instead. Washing Sooty clothes first means they cannot be sold at the used clothes shop.

After acquiring Sooty clothes, head to Kichijoji and find the used clothes store, located in the southwest corner of the area. Sell any Sooty clothing item here and the trophy will unlock.
