How to unlock the Savior of the Land achievement in Persona 5 Tactica - Definitive Guide

This achievement requires you to beat Lady Marie, the boss of Kingdom 1.

For your party and loadouts in terms of sub-Personas, utilize your members with the highest movement stats. Morgana and Yusuke will help you well on this front. Even better is having a sub-Persona that holds the Sukukaja ability (which bolsters your movement for three turns), an ability Yusuke can also start with automatically if you've unlocked it in his skill tree. I say this because Marie will call for her tank later on in the fight and will try to run you and your teammates over, so you'll need as wide of a movement grid as possible to stay out of harm's way.

On your first turn, move your party as forward as possible, with one ally moving down center aisle and the others at the sides. Make sure to line them up against any set pieces that can offer you resistance and ensure Marie can't get extra attack opportunities and added damage. If you happen to come in attack range for your guns, use them. After your turn Marie will toss out a set of five flower bouquets (Deadly Bouquet Toss) that serve as bombs that will go off after your next turn. The blast radius for them is marked in 3X3 fields of yellow squares but they're pretty easy to get around and avoid harm, so just focus getting your party to safety next turn. If attack opportunities should arise, use them. Marie will then walk down the aisle and use her Bride and the Machine Gun attack on anyone nearby, it isn't too damaging though, especially if you're lined up on tall defensive set pieces. Go out with every attack possible on your next turn, be it with guns, melee, or Persona abilities. Marie will then walk down the aisle further and call for Deadly Bouquet Toss again, but this time there's four bombs, aligned in an offset D-pad pattern with bombs directly in front and back of her. Get one of your party members to one of the bombs in the direction facing toward her, and use a melee attack on it to send the bomb toward her and you'll bring her down, creating a Triple Threat attack opportunity. Line your other party members up as neat as possible while mindful of staying away from the other bombs as you line the attack triangle to where Marie is at the center. Execute the attack and use the remaining actions of your other teammates for their strongest moves.

Marie will then shoot some dialogue on how annoying she finds of all of you, and then call out her next new move, the Collar of Matrimony, where the unfortunate recipient becomes the target of her attacks for the next couple of turns. In those circumstances, run as far away from her and find any defensive cover if possible, while getting out as many attacks as possible with your other teammates. Keep up with this strategy until her HP bank is halfway empty, and then she'll call out for her infamous tank. She'll put forth a charging attack called The Bloodstained Aisle, but thankfully you'll be afforded one turn to avoid her path, marked by yellow squares with exclamation points. She'll carry her first charging attack directly down the center aisle carpet, so navigate at the sides away from that carpet on your next turn, and make use of any gun attacks you can muster. She'll call for another charge (this version now called Here Comes The Bride), this time zig-zagging across the play field. Again, find space that isn't marked with yellow squares to ensure safety. Remember that a party member's turn isn't over until you do an action unless such action creates a One More opportunity, so move around while using the cn_LBcn_RB buttons to switch characters. This would be the best opportunity at utilizing Sukukaja, be it for the one holding that ability, or one of their allies. After her second charge, Marie will be out of it, so go out with as many attacks you can next turn. Afterwards she will call Collar of Matrimony again, while also following up with Deadly Bouquet Toss. For the party member that's targeted, align yourself around one of the bombs that is directly in line with the attack path for The Bloodstained Aisle/Here Comes The Bride, as Marie will always follow you while she's charging for her attack. If you can manage to line her up direct in line toward a bomb while avoiding harm, awesome, but at worst you won't lose a lot of HP (unless you're playing at higher difficulties). Marie will be taken down again, and though you won't have a Triple Threat opportunity this time, you can still do significant damage. Keep battling until you get her HP heart about 95% empty, making note to get the bombs direct in Marie's plotted path every time she calls both Deadly Bouquet Toss and The Bloodstained Aisle/Here Comes The Bride at the same time.

After this, Marie will fully heal while becoming impervious to damage for all future attacks. But don't despair. After your next cutscene where Marie talks down on you as well as her groom that is Toshiro, focus solely on staying away from Marie as far as possible and taking defensive cover from her gun attacks whenever you can. Eventually another cutscene will take shape where Toshiro is climbing up toward the top of the chapel and is ascending to the top of the bell hanging overhead. Morgana then sees the prospect of the bell crashing down as the way to put the brakes on Lady Marie's reign of terror. On your ensuing turn you'll get a flashing blue bordered square which is the marked spot of which the bell will land and you need to draw Lady Marie right to it. Keep playing defense and stay away from her and her charging attacks, until she summons Deadly Bouquet Toss one more time. There, get your party member that's closest to one of the bombs that can be meleed to both on the attack path and in front of the blue square. Once Marie eats the bomb you'll get the cutscene where the bell will come crashing down from above on top of her, and she will go off knowing she'll now be alone forced to have the cake and eat it too. The battle ends and the achievement pops!

Thumbs up, very thorough. This is for beating Mission 22 for those wondering how far into the game until you can get this.

Story-related. Cannot miss.

Once you’ve reunited the Phantom Thieves for The Battle Begins trophy_silver.png, the team and Erina will start to formulate a plan to take down the first Kingdom’s boss, Lady Marie.

At the end of the 21st mission, in the 22nd mission, you’ll finally come face-to-face with Lady Marie and go toe-to-toe with her.

From a boss perspective, it’s a fairly straightforward fight: just kick her bouquets back at her, do damage, stay out of her way, and when she gets in her tank, do damage until Toshiro gets up into the rafters. When he does, you’ll need to lure Marie into the middle of the map, and trap her there by kicking a bouquet into the objective square to stun Marie in place. Do that and you’ll defeat Marie, wrap up the act and move onto the next Kingdom - oh, and unlock the ‘Savior of the Land’ trophy.
