You can do all of the Become a Legend achievements in 1 run-through, but that is more difficult and probably also more time-consuming because of the League Best Eleven, so this explains how to do it in two.

Note: I can't confirm if you can get the Pride of a Nation achievement by playing in the European Cup at the end of 2011-2012, so you might want to try it out by using an European player.

First you want to go into edit mode, choose a player of a strong team and increase the stats of the player, remove all his skills, and make him able to play a position that is not used very much but in a scoring position such as LWF/RWF/AMF (I used Messi as LWF). Before you start check if the team your playing in has your playing position in their strategy. If they do, change your position or change team. Then start Become a Legend, pick your existing player, and set the difficulty to beginner.

First you want to assure your place in the starting line-up (as well in the club as in the international team). So play well in the league matches and interlands. Don't listen to anything your trainer says, it basically comes down to scoring goals, being of great importance, and giving assists of mediocre importance (scoring one goal and messing up for the rest will still give you a good rating). When you finish your first real match (so not a training match) The Debutant will unlock and when you finish your first UEFA Champions League match the UEFA Champions League Debut will unlock.

After one or two matches you will acquire The Multi-Talented and after a few more matches you'll unlock Mr. Versatility. As soon as you have your place in the line-up assured be sure to make alot of goals and assists in both your league and the UEFA Champions League. You can simulate some matches, just make sure at the end you scored a lot of goals, made a nice amount of assists, and your club is the winner of the league they play in.

By the end of the season you should have unlocked League Champions and League Best Eleven. Simulate the next season until you first win Super Star and soon after that the World Footballer of the Year.

Now you want to simulate until the end of the 2012-2013 season and make sure your national team qualifies for the International Cup. After that sim to the end of 2013-2014, play the first match available (somewhere in the beginning of June) and after you finish the match you'll unlock Pride of a Nation.

In your second run-through you want to use a created player and stick with the team they assign you to. Just be topscorer of your team in the season, giving you the best manager's rating (you can simulate a lot of matches, just play a reasonable amount). In the season the current captain will come to you a few times with some positive feedback. After the last league match the current captain will tell you that he and the manager agreed to make you the new captain. After the talk at the calendar screen you'll unlock the Proud Skipper achievement.
