You actually have to do this for a story mission.
After the mission to go to the Watchtower you'll be asked to complete 3 side quests.
Ran in the control room will ask you to achieve a PSE Burst
Initially I had a waypoint and it was leading me to a potential area but I was kicked off the server while doing the side quest
When I returned I no longer had an marker on where to do the side quest
What I did was head to Mt. Magnus and look for large clusters of enemies. Other players were also present in fighting off large groups of enemies.
Just like PSO2 when you get a kill and light burst out of them you'll know you started the process. The game will tell you the PSE level has raised (you can visually see it next to your mini map as a yellow progress bar)
As quick as you can keep killing large chunks of enemies (keep an eye out of Yellow E Markers) if you manage to prove successful you'll trigger a PSE Burst and thus the achievement

Idk, I kinda don't like this game. I've been following the updates and they are very slowly adding new content to make the game more fun.
It's too bare bones right now. I'm currently stuck because I need to level up my strength for the next story mission and it's just been such a long and boring grind.....
You need to do that weird Breath of the Wild towers around the map and get the skill points out of them.
For the PSE Burst, I strongly recommend you find other players who are taking out groups of enemies so your Burst meter can consistently fill, you'll get a marker showing you potential PSE Burst areas when you're kicking enough ass.
Make sure you equipping your best gear too as if needed enhancing your weapons. I was told you shouldn't need to do that as much but idk I'm not having any luck any other way.
This game will get easier once there is more stuff to do.

Hi New. I've just started New Genesis after previously completing the original PSO2 nearly s year ago. For some reason, I'm getting destroyed by the enemies in New Genesis. The monsters in the story mission mentioned in the solution seem overpowered compared to my character. Is there something I'm missing or not doing right? I'm a level 8 Hunter. The monsters in the mission are level 5 but they do around 100HP per hit and I only have 300HP. As an aside, I also can't get the PSE burst to trigger so I'm stuck. I haven't seen any other players at all since I started New Genesis. Original PSO2 was very active and had plenty of players.
