I didnt think a guide was required but after getting 2 messages asking how to get this achievement I thought let me just put a quick video up :
From the Main menu go to Online
Go to Ranked Match
Go to the bottom right option Standby
As soon as you go back to the main menu the Achievement will unlock.

It may sound silly but your guide helped. I was looking through all the options for Standby Mode. I had no idea it was an online option until I read your guide.

In ranked matches, players can put their skills to the test against other players as they fight their way through each one to attain a high rank in the game's online leaderboards.
Whenever you choose to search for an opponent to fight against in ranked match, you have the option to search for them while in the ranked match search menu, or put your search on standby so you can practice with the character of your choice or play other game modes (like Arcade or Score Attack, for example) while waiting for an opponent based on whichever parameters you have put when searching for other players to hone your skills against.
In order to enable the standby function, you will need to go to the ranked match menu (found under Online -> Ranked Match in the main menu), and then select Standby, which will unlock the trophy upon doing so for the first time.
