Emergency is a burst effect that you can activate while you are in a combo. It takes 1 full bar of meter. To activate the Emergency you have to press Light and Medium attacks together (X+Y) after being hit at least 2 times in a combo.
This can easily be earned in Training mode. Pick anyone you want, but pick Sophia as your opponent.
When the training mode loads up go into the record settings and record the opponent Sophia doing her Down+Special. This is a multi-hitting slide attack.
Back out of record and play the opponent's attack. Let the slide do a couple of hits and then press Light+Medium to Emergency out of the combo.

Much like Guilty Gear and BlazBlue, players can escape from an opponent's combo by breaking their combo string with a mechanic known as Emergency. If you are using the Quick or Hard Styles, this can be activated whenever the opponent's combo exceeds two or more hits, and then press 
during that combo string for the player to free themselves from their opponent's ongoing attacks. An example of this can be found in the screenshot below:
This is useful for whenever you find yourself in a situation where the opponent has the upper hand, but keep in mind that there is a lengthy cooldown that will occur before you can use your meter gauge again, so be sure to use this wisely when making a comeback from an opponent's attack.
As the trophy's description says, you will need to activate the Emergency mechanic for the first time in order to unlock it.
