How to unlock the Master of Evasion achievement in Phantom Breaker: Omnia - Definitive Guide

A Slip Shift is performed by pressing the analog stick or the D pad in the direction of a ranged or physical attack the enemy has engaged you with.

cn_right if the enemy is standing to your right and facing you.

You’ll know you’ve done it currently if your character briefly steps into the background.

You can boost this with two controllers in the 1P Vs 2P matches.

Keep in mind you have to be in the Quick variant to perform Slip Shifts. Omnia or Hard do not support this type of action.

It works in training, too. You can set the second player control to CPU-Normal. It will attack constantly, so you can just shift until it pops.

Slip Shift is a defense mechanic that can only be used while you are using either the Quick or Omnia Styles. This can be done by pressing dpad_right.png at the precise moment when an opponent's attack is about to strike at the player, but it should be noted that the timing of when this mechanic can be used will vary depending on the type of attack you want to dodge.

If this is executed successfully, the player will dodge the attack with a red silhouette appearing behind them, which also prevents any damage from being dealt against them. For an example, please refer to the screenshot below:

An example of Slip Shift being used

As the trophy's description says, you will need to perform an accumulative total of 100 Slip Shifts to dodge any attacks from your opponent(s) in order to unlock it. Additionally, you can also unlock Evasion for Days trophy_bronze.png when you do ten Slip Shifts during the current round of any match.

If you're doing this in Training Mode or Versus, you can have a second controller help you with this in either mode (and in the former, you can record any attacks that you want the dummy to do on the third page of the pause menu's Training Options, which can be found by pressing r1.png twice while you are there, and there are five slots you can use). Be sure to time dpad_right.png carefully while attempting to dodge any attacks from the training dummy or second controller.

You can also keep track of your progress towards this trophy by going into Records in the main menu, and then go to Play Data. While you are there, press r1.png to go to Achievements and you'll be able to keep track of your current progress towards this and the other trophies that require you to perform a specific amount for certain actions.
