Go to Arcade mode and press start with a second controller to bring in another player. Press 
with your second controller in front of your main character and press with your main controller immediately after. With the correct timing you escaped the throw. There is only a small window of time to react to the throw... so you maybe need a couple of attempts, but it's still a very simple achievement.
