How to unlock the …and the heavens shook achievement in Phantom Dust - Definitive Guide
This is a tough one as there are many battles that you must complete with a single deck so I'll try to give you a break down of how to approach each battle.
The deck for this is quite simple:
2x Rapid Cannon
2x Vibration Blaster
2x Fortress of Iron
3x Level Amp
1x Level Boost
2x Graceful Woods
3x Heat
1x Stimulate
Battle 1, part 1 - Mimic
The first part of this battle pits you against a doppelganger of yourself. Build you aura as quickly as you can while keeping the mimic at bay with Rapid Cannon. If he hasn't fallen by the time you get your aura to 10+ Vibration Blaster should make short work of him.
Battle 1, part 2 - Edgar and Freia
You continue this battle where you left off with the mimic so you should have Vibration Blaster with 10+ aura at this point. Focus your attention on Freia and the VB should take care of her quickly. Move on to Edgar but be wary as he can have a reflect wall. Again, a powered up VB will end him without much trouble.
Battle 2, part 1 - Demented Freia
Freia is now a giant beast with three distinct sections; Top, Middle, and Bottom. Only one section will attack at a time and each is only vulnerable just before it's attack. You'll want aura particles right from the start so be sure to hit View () if your loadout doesn't have much. Be mindful of running too fast up the staircase as your skills will spawn along it and it is possible to leave them behind. As you progress upwards the staircase falls behind you so any skills you pass are gone for good.
DF Bottom: DF moves far above you to give you a glimpse of the rear end eye, it will be vulnerable for a few seconds before launching an attack that will lift you up in the air and drop you for 2 damage. Attack when the eye guard opens up and then prepare to block the attack.
DF Middle: DF aligns her midsection with you and a turret will rotate to align with you. As soon as it aligns the shields will open on this midsection eye and you must attack quickly. If you are quick enough your successful attack will make the turret miss.
DF Top: DF moves level or slightly below you and launches several mirrors into the air. Just before she fires off a few ricochet lasers you'll hear a sound and the eye will glow red, this is the time to attack. If you run up the staircase immediately after attacking you can avoid many of the lasers if you don't have a defense skill.
Battle 2, part 2 - Freia's Final Form
If you managed to reach aura 10+ and add a few Heats and a Stimulate you can lock onto Freia as soon as possible and pummel her with Vibration Blaster. Use Graceful Woods if you run low on aura and she should die in 3-4 attacks.
Phantom Dust is pretty easy but this mission is the only one that i can't pass easily. My deck souldn't be as good as i expected.I'll try later
Edit: Worked like a charm.I won it on 3rd try with a nearly same deck.Just perfect !
This is the longest and perhaps the most challenging battle in the game.
I used a three-school skill arsenal with the following skills:
- Psycho Blade
- Rapid Cannon
- Vibration Blaster
- Rock Shot
- Psychic Wall
- Reverse
- Wall (x2)
- Acquisition (x2)
- Heat (x3)
- Healing Water (x2)
- Level Amp
- Level Boost
During the first phase of the battle, you’ll have to fight a doppelganger of yourself. I stuck to Rapid Canon while gathering aura particles in order to use Vibration Blaster. Use up your Heats and Acquisitions as soon as you can.
Once the Mimic is down, you’ll fight Edgar and Freia at the same time. Make your way to the bottom/middle area of the stage and stay under here. Get rid of Freia with Vibration Blaster first, then Edgar. Use Reverse if Edgar’s Ki skills get too close. Don’t allow Edgar to rush you and stay clear from his short-range attacks.
After Edgar is down, you’ll fight Demented Freia on a staircase. The staircase collapses as you move up. Skills spawn in as you make your way up the stairs, but skills that you didn’t capture will be gone for good. At this point, don’t bother grabbing any short-range attacks if you kept those in your arsenal. You must defeat this version of Freia before you run out of skills. Definitely take Vibration Blaster, as well as Reverse, Heats, and Acquisitions when you can.
She has three sections you have to target on the bottom, middle, and top. For Freia’s bottom section, wait for the eye to drop down in order to damage it. Her bottom eye can do an attack that will pick you up and drop you, so be ready to block with a defensive skill if you have one.
The middle eye has a cannon, but the cannon won’t fire until it’s pointed directly at you. Right before the cannon fires, the middle eye will open, so that’s your chance to attack. Jump right or left immediately after you attack the middle eye to avoid taking damage from the canon.
The top area of Freia shoots out mirrors, then fires lasers off of the mirrors. The lasers will home in on you, but you can avoid this attack easily enough by continuing to run up the staircase. Before Freia shoots the lasers, she’ll glow a red color. You must damage her at this moment.
Once you defeat Demented Freia, you’ll fight Final Freia. When Final Freia is getting ready to attack, glowing red circles will appear around her. Use that moment to attack Freia with Vibration Blaster, then be ready to defend with Reverse. Always keep running around the stage. Don’t allow Freia to fly directly above you. She can also do an attack that "poisons" you and does damage if you pick up a new skill or if you use one of your skills, so be careful.
If you die during the mission, you can interact with the Memory Box Terminal in Visions HQ and revisit the mission later on. Select scenario, then choose Sein. Pick the “And Now to the Future” mission and replay the mission without dying or retrying to unlock this achievement.
