This can be done in a game with just 2 players, despite a traditional game of Battle Royale being a Free-For-All with 4 players.
NOTE: I'm from Canada, and there seems to be more players active after 20:00 EDT.
Boosting: Create a game of Battle Royale with your boosting partner, and take turns at winning (cannot be on each others Friends List)
Legitimate: Create a game of Battle Royale and when someone joins, just start the game with 2 players. Now all you have to do is, essentially, play a One-on-One instead of free-for-all.
NOTE: a bit of luck is required to win using this method.
