This can be earned during the mission Refinery: Rescue Friends. You can get this on a mission replay from the Simulator.
In my experience the best strategy is to use a simple Finisher deck. The boss has a set pattern and is vulnerable to attack when he stops to launch his own attack. Simply get your aura level to 10+ and unleash Finisher.
The deck for this is quite simple:
1x Finisher - The move to kill the boss
2x Level Amp - To double aura when it is over 10
2x Level Boost - To increase aura by 2
2x Graceful Woods - To fill aura for Finisher attack
2x Auto Shell - For Defense against boss attacks
If you manage this without retrying you can also earn:
The Cast out of the skies achievement in Phantom Dust worth 111 pointsDefeat Thalasso without retrying

If you use the Doze skill it reduces it's attacks by 1 making the rapid cannon and splash harmless.
