I would recommend you be level 3 before you start however if not there is an easy way to best him.
Aswell as this earning this achievement you can also earn two others one for killing him with the torch and another for killing a boss without taking damage. ( for the Torch achievement you only need to finish him off with the torch, so equip the torch when he is 1 or 2 hits away from death)
I highly recommend you watch this video and check out the achievement guide for killing him while taking no damage.
Stamina management is important as well as learning his moves. Equip the Bronze sword for best stamina efficiency or the Mittani sword for power.
Always stay close to him this cancels his long special attack. Keep in the centre of the . don't get cornered.
When the Warden swings his sword immediately roll so you go past him. Don't wait until the last moment before dodging. As soon as you see his arm rise dodge past him. If he uses his ground pound his sword will be stuck in the ground. You have a clear strike of his back. Do no more than 2to3strikes then back off and allow stamina to fully recharge.
If when you roll past you hear a swoosh sound then prepare to jump backwards. Once you hear the second swoosh move i. And attack.
Stamina management is really important. Allow the bar to charge before attacking. Never attack if the bar is less than half. The bronze sword is ideal as you can perform 3 attacks and have enough to dodge. If you use a heavy weapon then watching your stamina is even more important.
Speak to the prisoner before the battle to receive the Ribg of Sobek. Consider unequipping all your armor as in the video to give even more stamina.
Don't be greedy aim for 1 to 2 strike combos and back off. I found the roll past him to be the best method.
