To complete a 'Perfect investigation' you must do the following:
- Find all pieces of evidence (3 on Amateur, Intermediate and Professional. 2 on Nightmare. 1 on Insanity)
- Complete all 3 optional objectives
- Guess the correct ghost type
- Collect the bone
- Fill the entire journal with 3-star photos (Anything lower than 3 stars or not showing any stars will void the run)

- Photos of the Ghost while shown on DOTS will count as your ghost photo, so finding a ghost who can be seen using DOTS may simplify the photo taking process.
- If you take a bad photo, it can be deleted and replaced with a 3 star photo and the achievement will still pop afterwards. So do not be afraid to take photos during your investigations!
