Should work, just to add something, don't bother examine the ladder/step-ladder when Atmey is here during The Stolen Turnabout (he won't let you examine the crime scene) or with Edgeworth/before the metal detector section in Bridge to the Turnabout (only durind 2nd day investigation) since the game will tell you about the wall and not the ladder.

The ladder vs. step-ladder conversations are a running gag of the Ace Attorney games, so you’ll see them quite often. There will be five different conversations about ladders in the trilogy. All you have to do is to examine all the (step-)ladders and read the conversation.

With that Metal Detector, examine the ladder on the right. You can examine the ladder way earlier in this episode, but you won’t get a conversation out of it.

In case you missed a (step-)ladder, you don’t need to see every conversation again. Replay the case in which you’ve missed the conversation and just examine the respective (step-)ladder to unlock this trophy.
