The Siege of Cragholdt quest becomes available fairly early in the game, shortly after you become master of your keep. you will receive a notification to visit your Steward, you will advise you of the siege. For advise on the final battle against

On the PC version of the game this quest along with White March regions were expansion packs, thus designed with the idea in mind that the player would of all ready reached a high level and understanding of the games mechanics. When you visit Cragholt you will realise that the enemies are far stronger than what you have dealt and that is why.
i would advise being at least level 10 before taking on this quest
Anyway proceed to Cragholdt and begin killing the soldiers, get plenty of rest between battles, revisit your keep to get the keeps stat bonus and stock up on camping supplies. Eventually you will make it to Cragholt keep.
Talk to Thannos to update the quest
in the keep you must kill 3 groups of wizards begin with Uraikis Laboratory, loot the containers and there corpse to get the research notes.
next to Sabels Lab kill the wizard and again loot the corpse and containers.
Now Peldens Lab again despatch the wizard and loot the corpse.
the best advise for killing these is rest before the battle and use the relevant creature bonus to improve your attacks. When the battles begin throw everything you have at the wizards and bring them down quickly. once the wizards are gone the others will quickly fall.
With all 3 wizards dead and there research notes looted return to thannos and will give you his research.
now heres what took me time to figure out, you will have looted two lots of notes for each wizard, you need to go into your stash and load the icon for Quest items (THE ICON IS A CROWN) and read each note, there are also notes in your inventory for each wizard but these wont advance the quest,you must read the notes in quest item stash.
After reading the right set of notes go to the door, and answer the riddles
1: A warded Mind
2: pride
3: Malliability
4: Mortality
Open the door but dont go in. A tough battle awaits
Rest your party and use vessel bonus damage. Make a hard save. Inside the room is a boss battle Concelhaut but he also has an extremely tough Ancient Death vessel you must defeat.
The way I tackled the battle was to lay traps around the door, walk in and go through the dialogue, now bring your party quickly out of the room and head into the corridor near Thannos room. The ancient death vessel and a few other lesser ennemies will follow. the death vassal is really tough on his own but separating the group maes this much easier. After defeating the vassal rest up and brew some endurance potions and Save . make sure you have a tank character with excellent armour, defences and shield, i used Eder, his defences were in the 90s, damage reduction was 15 the unending and unbroken abilies help.
Defeating Concelhaut
When you return to Concelhauts room it should just be him and another enemy. Focus on any remaining enemies first. Concelhaut will use most of his spells and abilities and they are devastating. he is immune to most things. Make sure you keep Aloth alive hide him away until the boss has used his abilities. At this point everyone in my party other than Eder and Aloth were dead and Concelhaut had full health. i thought I was doomed, I noticed once all the abilies are gone the boss does little physical damage (to a tank). Use Eder as a tank and Concelhaut wont attack Aloth, now use the spell Citzals Spirit Lancethis spell does massive damage to Concelhaut and will kill him very quickly. I believe i could have whittled his health down with normal attacks but it would of taken alot longer, the spirit lance makes short work of this guy.
The key to this final battle is thinning down the ranks by luring them into the corridors, resting, allowing Concelhaut to use up his abilites then finish him with Citzals lance and a tank.
