Here's the people you need to recruit, in the order I encountered them:
* Aloth - Gilded Vale, outside the tavern
* Eber - Gilded Vale, near the hanging tree, after advancing main questline a little
* Durance - Magran's Crossing, at the crossroads shrine
* Kana - Caed Nua, at zone entrance
* Sagani - Woodend Plains
* Pallegina - Ondra's Gift, outside Vailian Trading Post, available after "At All Costs" quest
* Hiravias - Stonewall Gorge
* Grieving Mother - Dyrford Village
I didn't run into any issues or prerequisites to recruiting them, other than noted above.

I just recruited Pallegina and now have all 8 companions but no achievement, is it supposed to pop right away or do i have to do something more?

I'm having the same problem. I picked up all 8 companions several hours ago. I'm wondering if it's bugged.

Achievement doesnt unlock for me as well.

It's not the only chievos that's like that, several several of them are tied to "one sitting". Which, imo, is pretty stupid as there are a number of us who can't dedicate 20 hours in one go on a game, I myself actually do have a job to attend to once in a while

You don’t have to play the game non-stop. You do have to leave you Xbox on though. You can even exit the game, just as long as you don’t go offline or lose power. I kept my Xbox on for 8 straight days.

Soooo, my mistake in Pillars 2. Obsidian Developed it and another company, NOT Paradox, published it. So I think I'll give it a swing as it's on GamePass now.

Paradox only cares for Europa Universalis 4, but in a wrong way. Instead of developing a 5, they always add paid DLC's that most of them are useless. Fans' mods are better than them.

The Xbox Series X/S may makes it a bit easier. The quick resume function that the console offers seems to prevent the achievement tracking to reset. Tested if with a few achievements and it should work with all ''one sitting'' achievements. Keep in mind that an power outage will result in a reset so maybe don't take to long if you're going for it.

It's not just the party members chievo that's affected. In essence, every time the console is turned off, the tracker for the X amount of etc. Achievement gets reset to zero. So, you'd have to leave the console powered on for the entirety of the game playthrough to get the X amount Achievements. Meaning no power loss, no console updating, no console freezing, just a perfect little piece of electronics being powered on for near 100 hours or more depending on your play style. FUCK
