How to unlock the Nine Zeroes achievement in Pinball FX - Definitive Guide

Simple way to get this achievement. Go to the events tab and use your free wild west rampage game to play in the tournament. You can play an unlimited number of games and depending on your skill, after 10 to 20 games you will get a 24 hour free pinball pass as a reward. This allows you to download and play any game.

Download Attack from Mars during your free 24 hours and you'll get 1 billion in 1-3 games. The scoring on there is crazy

WWE, it is under Williams Collection 1. It was on the right from memory. The thumbnail does not stand out at all and I missed it when scrolling through the list twice.

Alternatively, you can download it manually and that will make it show up in colour so you can't miss it.

Link: https://www.xbox.com/games/store/pinball-fx-williams-pinball...

As seen in: List Of Free Content (Games, Apparel, Themes)

Just remember that you only have 24h from the start of the gifted premium pass. Then it reverts to a 1 hour trial for the table.

I saw the pinball pass come up as a reward. But it doesn't seem to have activated. Do i have to go somewhere to claim/activate it?

Edit : closing the game activated it.
Nice solution. I made 3.4 billion in one game

Is it a random reward? I have unlocked the 36 coin season reward and the next is 51 coin season reward which is just a background.

Edit: I restarted the game and it was activated. 2 hours were missing so it doesn't function properly I guess when you initially unlock it. The clock starts but you don't see it and can't use it until you restart.

Scully934, I am not sure because it didn't tell me in any way that I could tell. When I got to around 30 to 41 coins I got confused and restarted the game. That's when it showed my Username box in foiled(?) colour. When I pressed Select (Back, whatever the little button to the left of Start is) I could go to one of the options about the table pass. There it showed I had 22h left. This means 2 hours was wasted with it not being active or informing me.

Not sure if that glitch is across the board or was just me.

You have to do the tutorial. After completeing the tutorial event, you get a 24 hour pinball pass.

Cheers for the help guys, finally got it. Pressed start to restart tutorial and got the 2.5mil required score then the 24 hour ramona event unlocked which gives you the pinball pass at level 8 and the challenges are dead easy. Didnt show up though so restarted the game like you said and there it was, got 3billion score on first game of mars attacks. Piss easy

@planchetflaw , how did you get the 200G achievement that requires you to get unlock all rewards from a season?

@Scully934

You need 466 coins. So on the free table you can play 466 games reaching the target score.

I used the remainder of my 24h table pass to play The Addams Family event which gives 2 coins for the same target as the free table.

It was Super Saturday in the NRL on TV so I picture in pictured the Pinball game to my TV and over 3 footy games grinded out the 200ish plays needed to get the final reward. I can get the required total in one ball launch or worst case scenario one flipper hit. Then drain the three balls. The only annoying part is the Match Numbers bonus ball DV at the end of the game. It's slow.

My game play time says 11h so far. So I imagine it takes 6-8h my way.

For those who messed up with the Pinball Pass like me, the new free table Fish Tales is pretty good for this. Getting 10M+ points is pretty quick and once you get to know the table getting 100M+ per game doesn't take more than 5-10 min.

Worthy of note is that this accounts for any mode within "My Tables", so the 5 minute timed games with infinite ball save are an option if, on the harder, higher-scoring tables, your games are averaging less time than that. Fish Tales is one such table for me; after playing FX3 so much the updated physics are too "laggy" for me to attain consistently high scores on 3 ball. Skill issue, I know 😅

@LGood You can track your progress in-game by pressing View and selecting Progression. I am currently at 760,000,000 which is the same as the 76% represented on the tracker. Ensure you are playing via the "My Tables" menu, as tournaments and events don't count, even if those tables are owned

I'm clarifying those parameters for you. Events don't count towards this total; only owned tables played from the "my tables" menu. There is a filter box you can tick for owned tables; three tables are included for free and Fish Tales is the highest scoring of those three. If you're playing owned tables from the My Tables menu (not trials) and it isn't increasing I would suggest uninstalling, clearing local save and reinstalling

Even if you own the table, events don't count towards this total

Of course! Nice. Might be worth doing in one sitting; each timed mode play of Fish Tales personally nets me around 10% or so, shouldn't take more than an hour this way (I'm just in a habit of playing all events and finishing with Fish Tales as I'm working in the Season reward achievement too and that is enough pinball for one day for me 😅)

I started on this season late so it'll be tight if but I *should* just scrape it with the free tables🤞 Thank you 😊🤙

Remember to mention the way you access the tutorial to get the free 24 hour premium pass is to press the start button from the main menu. I had challenges trying to find the tutorials to begin with until i realized this. After the fact the tutorial objectives or challenges are insanely easy. Once you complete the right amount of them you'll get the 24 hour premium pass!

Played a table called Theatre of magic and got 502 million on first try and it took 4-5 minutes, so this table gives you plenty points compared to most other tables.

The points you acquire are cumulative to all of your games. To see how much points you exactly have, press SELECT, then Progress. You see a new window with achievements and table rewards, which you can switch with LT/RT. In the Achievements-Tab you see the "Nine-Zeroes"-achievement, which shows you how many points you currently have. So you can always follow along, how many points you still need to get 1 billion points.

As for example, i have played a few games and already have 15.021.805 points as of 16.2.23. This shouldn't take that long. I think the best mode for this is arcade as you can choose 1 active and 2 passive bonuses which will increase points for certain actions.

Try to get art shots (i don't know if this is the accurate translation), if you manage to do this, you can get a nice boost of 1,5million up to 2,5 million per shot. (I don't know if this can be more, but 2,5 million was my highest).

Active Bonuses:
Slow Motion will give you 50 seconds of well..slow motion which you can use to plan your next shot ahead and prevent a loss. Remember that you need to press X for that as long as you play. You can "pause" this, by releasing the X button.

Points Boost: Doubles the points for the duration of 30 seconds. Remember that you need to press X for that as long as you play. You can "pause" this, by releasing the X button.

Passive Bonuses

Multiball - increases points in multiball-mode by 10%, however activating multiball is a bit more difficult

Strike Tower - misspelled bullet ricochets, additional 40% of the points - (this sounds weird translated directly from German lol) - not sure what this actually means, maybe "dirty shots" or some sort

Combo-Time - Combo-Shots gets 50% more time, so you have more time to keep the combos and continue the chain, meaning you can even get more points

Art-Shot: Hit the marked paths for an art shot and get an additional 20% value of the points for it

Ball saver: 20% more time for the ball saver, so in the worst case, you can hold a game longer until you run out of balls (3 balls in total)

Distance: Long Shots gets you an additional 5000 points (it means if your ball travels along the entire table)

Remember: You cannot activate the same bonus twice!

Of course you are free to choose which bonuses you want to activate. I'll probably go for combo-time and art-shot for the passive ones and points boost for the active one.

Statistics: With the settings above i managed to get 6,5 million with an art shot and finished the game with 11 million points, not using the full 30 seconds of the active bonus.

FYI: Playing in events does not count toward your total, it seems

Strike tower is for pop bumpers, and art shot is skill shot.

This sounds quite daunting, but is not as bad as it sounds. Two more free tables were added in April 2023, and the Fish Tales is very generous with scores. A score of 100 million is pretty easy within a 5 min timed game - just keep hitting lit lanes. If your pinball pass is active, it is possible to get 1 billion points in a single game on Attack From Mars.

Only games played from the "your tables" count for this stat, events do not add to it. Playing practice mode also does not count - timed games are probably best to build scores as you can progress further in the 'story' of the table. Progress can be checked by pressing tp.png from the main menu and selecting progression.
