OK so the important part is that if you lose a life you DONT lose progresss towards this achievement.
Now you have 3 characters ( The Thing, Mr Fantastic and the Human Torch) which all have 3 letters underneath them. The object of this achievement is to light up all the letters, which will spell FAN TAS TIC once lit. Once they are lit up you will then have to hit the ball up the ramp that leads to Dr Doom 4 times. This will start the 4-ball mode with Dr Doom firing the balls 2 at a time. Achievement Unlocked!

If I remember correctly, every time you press a flipper it moves the position of the lit letters... I'll double check it to make sure...

Ok double checked it as its been so long since I did this!!! Its the two bumpers just above the flippers that make the letters move, you can use this to your advantage by moving letters you need to hit and putting them at The Thing as he is easiest to hit... Good luck, practice and patience like with the vast majority of achievements in this game!!!!!
