To activate the redline "mode", you need to get to be in 5th gear and max out your RPM meter.
You can track this by watching the indicators on the main playfield display(the ones with the RPM and redline legends). The "easiest" way to move up the gears is to shoot the left and right orbits. The table will tell you to when to shift. I'm not sure a out this but you might get RPM lights from shots that increase your speed.
Once you're in fifth, you want to get your RPM lights lit at least 4 lights in to the red(right side of the platforms display). You will get an audio cue saying something to the effect that redline mania is active. There will also be a flashing light above the ramp into the supercharger. Make the shot into the supercharger and (TOAST FX).
