Pretty easy with the free table. The rune must be hit with the ball when it's full, you see it right next to the score. The 2nd to last addition will be some kind of 'wings' to the left and right, after that two points on top and at the bottom - after that the ball must hit the middle of the top lane.
Hold A to wind up the shot and release it just when the points appeared. If playing Arcade or Classic with more balls, for the second ball you have to release A a bit earlier. For the third one you need to release A when the wings just appeared, since the rune fills up noticeably faster.
No need to hurry, you can watch the rune fill up as long as you like to get a feeling fot the timing.
