Game mode flip challenge. start the sound of it’s spawn by hitting the tendril ramp 3 times then hold the ball on flippers. 5 real spawns will pop up one by one while challenge is active hit one and wait for next one to appear. When the challenge is over just keep ball on flippers and more will appear be aware some are illusions. You can check progress just by holding ball on flippers for a short time.

This worked so well, i got it on my 3rd try. Thanks DadBigBeard.
its also working for me on the other challenge (cult of its arrival), which i can only assume is for the achievement 'the arrival of it. I just cant seem to sink that last shot after hitting about 6 of the spawned targets
